Author’s POV
Rafael Moretti laughed loudly inside the abandoned warehouse, the sound echoing against the cracked walls like pure insanity.
“She’s staying with him,” he muttered, grinning crazily. “Interesting.”
The man beside him shifted uncomfortably. Rafael’s laughter suddenly stopped. His expression darkened instantly.
“Leave.”
The man nodded quickly and walked away without another word. Rafael turned back toward the laptop. The security image on the screen showed Adrian Romano’s mansion brightly lit against the darkness of the night.
Everything Rafael hated. His eyes slowly narrowed as he zoomed further into the image. One of the windows upstairs was partially open, revealing a faint silhouette behind the curtains.
