"Tell me about it!" Sophie seemed interested in knowing what was going on, dropping both the yarn and the pin on the dining table to focus her attention on me.
I glanced at the kids, realizing I would need a private moment to speak with her alone.
"Should we give you two some privacy?" Noah guessed right.
He was able to read my mind before I even said a word.
"Yes, darling. But you and Cathie aren't to step an inch outside the lodge. Go to your rooms and pick up your books to read." I said to them, seeing them nod at once before playfully walking away.
I left my spot to move to the dining table, settling down in front of Sophie at the table, "I submitted my resignation letter to him, only for him to ask me to marry him." I said to her.
