ANYTHING FOR YOU

Prologue (15 years ago)

Baby wailing sound fills the room. "She has your eyes." Selena says, smiling softly . "But definitely your face and hair. I never thought I could ever feel as happy as I am feeling now. Thank you for giving me the best gift ever." Henry wispers quietly , returning his wife's smile. "But we have to keep her safe. With her powers, she'll make many enemies." "I know, but how will we do that? Clarko would come searching for us in a short time and will kill our daughter too." "Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to our princess." Henry says determinedly. "But....." Selena gets interrupted by the sound of her baby cooing. "So beautiful. What should we name her Henry?" "Serena Avery Raddix. That would be the name of our princess." "Such a beautiful name, just like our princess. I just wish we had more time with her." "I understand Selena, I really do. But what other option do we really have? We have to make the sacrifice, for our Selena to have a life. Don't you want that?" "Oh Henry, I do! But what if something happens to us? Our daughter won't get her parents love and affection." Serena exclaims, crying softly. Henry tries to calm her. Suddenly strong winds start blowing. All windows in the rooms start banging against the walls. Loud booming laughter fills the room. "YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD HIDE FROM ME, YOU WEAKLINGS? NOBODY HIDES FROM ME!" "Quick Henry, you have to hide Serena! He can't get his eyes on her. He will kill her. Please Henry, please." Selena says, sobbing. She takes the baby in her arms for one last time, whispers I Love You in her hair, plants a kiss on her forehead and hands her to Henry. He does the same with her and wraps her in a blanket. At that moment, a large shadow enters the room. Henry turns around, panicked. Clarko stands in the doorway with his minions at the windows. "Well well well, such a beautiful party. But why didn't I get invited Henry? Don't tell me you didn't want my niece to meet her uncle a last timebefore dying. You know she has the right to meet the person who is going to kill her and her familly." Clarko says, grinning wickedly. He lifts up both his hands and shoots a bright light at Henry and Selena. They both topple over with a cry and baby falls from Henry's hands. She starts crying. Hearing their cries, Clarko starts cackling madly. He picks up the baby and kicks the whimpering parents. He cooes at the baby and holds her hand. Sudden bright light emits from their joined hands and Clarko directs it towards the couple. It starts buring the couple. Both knowing that their end was near, they joined hands and breathed their last with a 'We love you, princess'. Right after their death, Serena gets lifted from Clarko's arms and hovers in air. Electricity crackles around her. A bright ball of light comes out from each of her parents and joins together above her body. Then the joined light ball enters her body and a loud scream erupts in the house. A blast went off and every person in five kilometers vicinity got killed, including Clarko and his minions. Sudden footsteps echo in the house. Several men in suits and black glasses enter the room. They see Selena and Henry on the floor, with Clarko and his minions, dead. Selena was no longer crying, but smiling softly and glowing. Seeing the baby, the men fell to knees and bowed to her, with their fists thumping their chests three times. The biggest man among them, their boss, said "Take the girl away. We don't want others to know about our future queen. Since she got her powers at such a young age, she will be the most powerful of our kind. Everybody of our kind receives their power at the age of fifteen, but she'll receive hers at the age of five. Give our former king and queen a proper burial and get rid of Clarko and his minions. And prepare for a welcome ceremony of our new queen."
