The begining

935 Words
It was dark in the house. The only sound was from the movie they were watching and the sound of a hot water pot going off for our hot chocolate. Iesha and I loved hot chocolate but she liked he with mint and honey. I preferred mine with ginger. it always amazed us how were we allergic to the things each other liked via the mint and honey and my ginger. No one ever understood why. We paused the movie s oI wouldn't miss any part of it and she snuggled up farther into the huge blanket we were sharing. As I got up I laughed at her because she stuck her foot out and tried to kick me but failed. As I kept walking,I thought I hear something upstairs but didn't put much thought into it because Iesha has a cat that stays up stairs because I'm allergic to cats and she is allergic to dogs. As I entered the kitchen, there was a small breeze coming from the main window that i thought i had closed because of the rain.  *** I sat up with a jolt of energy, sweating like crazy about what i had just seen and that's when i realized it was just a dream about that night. I looked around to sere i had fallen asleep on a park bench not far from where i was to be headed and like always, it was about to rain. I was right outside the Greenlake cemetery in Ohio knowing that was where she was buried and i needed to say goodbye. I knew Exactly where her grave was . In the middle of a chestnut tree. (Her favorite) I walked slowly taking in my surroundings and lovelying the blowing breeze from the east. it was silent when i reached the spot and cold which didn't bother me because on her stone they had her face engraved and the words " Beloved Daughter and Friend". It doesn't seem fair that some die so young but others live longer in places that don't have a home. It's amazing though to think about life in another way after someone you love is gone. By the time I left, it was almost dark and the sunset was dark not light pink, orange, and yellow but black. Almost as if there was a fire over the hill. i didn't really care one way or or the other because i was ready to head in the opposite direction and continue on with my life.  It started to get really cold while I was walking to the cab i had called for while there and had that same feeling again that something wasn't right. The more i walked the more nervous i felt like Iesha did the night of the attack and it scared me something fierce.I picked up my pace and looking behind to see a shadow slip behind a tree watching me.I started running when his footsteps became clear as day. I wasn't sure which way to run so i Veered to the left and hid in a small tree with a large stone in fron. After a few minutes, I looked around and found no one in sight but i didn't want to linger so i booked it back to the cab as fast as i could. Something that had puzzled my though was the marking on the grave. I think it was the shape of a pentagon but had extra points around the edges. Running my fingers down the middle, If ound where the name was and the dates of birth till death.   It was really weird because it was my name etched into the stone and my D.O.B. and there was a D.O.D.     "Venesha Maria Haunting" DOB -July 28th,1996 to July 28th 2019. As I read it to myself a loud booming voice echoed through my my ears. I turned around to find that man walking up behind me. He was tall , well built and had black hair and green eyes. I was ready to run but he put his hands yup in the air as if he was giving up or something. "You're surprizes that this is your gravestone but you still living. Am i Right?" I tried to look confident but failed. "Well someone clearly knows the future in stone for you, but i could be wrong it all depends on what you believe and know about a people". "and your point being"? "NO, I'm just saying it happens". " I don't see how because its only august , 2016 how do you explain that"? Silence fell upon us then without another word, and i took the opportunity and left for good reason.  By the time i got to the cab, it was half past nine and freezing which was odd for a summer night. As i entered the cab i asked if he could take me to the air port as fast as possible so ic ould catch the next flight out of there.  Thinking to myself sometimes i wonder "what is this world coming too" .  Isigh and and look out the window on the way there an see all the busy stores trying to get that last minute sale and people not even realizing what is right in front of them that is truly important to them.  It only took ten minutes to get there and then another 10 to get my ticket and board the plane. Knowing it would take most of the night to get there, i decided a little nap would be worthwhile. Hopefully.
