“Why are you lying Leah?” Jennifer questioned smugly.
Her words made me grit my teeth as anger roared in my chest.
I felt it when I passed her—the way her legs shot out deliberately when I passed, hitting slightly, as I missed my steps. I was too slow to react, and before I realised her plan, I had already crashed flat on the floor.
