Anna's POV

               Before my father was mated with a she-wolf who died a few years ago while protecting her sons, Isaac and Ethan and Zain when they were 12 and after ten years father was given a second chance to mate with my mother who is a powerful witch and that’s when I was born, half-wolf and half-witch yeah I was what they call hybrid because of that, I was special. Two powers were flowing through me which made it harder for me to train them, like everyone I was able to take the wolf form and was as big as an alpha but there was some difference than others and as for witch's power mother said it will awaken late maybe because of my hybrid situation. Suddenly, I heard my father voice  “ everybody this is mark, I want the whole pack at pack house as soon as possible. This is a red alert, demons are after us so be careful and hide your smell. “ he was using mink-link for this message. I turned my car and started to drive towards the pack.

                           Demon’s attack in the whole south has grown three times more than what it was for the last few years, I and my brother Zain have been investigating this case for months now but every time we thought we solved this matter we would face a dead end. Two months ago every pack in the south decided to investigate this individually and discuss it at a meeting, today was one of them. I wasn’t able to go because I was out looking at a different case for a week but after the meeting, father called everyone at the pack house with his alpha link which means it’s something urgent. I parked my car outside the pack house and rushed inside, house the was full of people every single person was there. Omega’s were taking children in the T.V room and others were making space for more people. I spotted my father near the stage with mother, his beta, gamma and their wives.

                        When I reached there everyone looked at me with worry and….. Fear? “ what's going on? “ I asked them.

“ My child, I have something I want you to do for me…. But before that I have an announcement to make. We’ll talk later. “ father said before going to the middle of all people. “ everyone attention! “ father was using his alpha voice which made everyone lower their heads in submission “ we are in a serious situation right now, everybody here knows that for the last few months demons attack has increased by thrice and every pack in the south has been investigating this case. In today’s conference wing moon pack told that they have discovered an opening in the barrier of two worlds, from where these demons are coming, so we have decided to defend these demons who are coming from another world until witch’s close that barrier. Other packs have also informed us that these demons are only targeting werewolves and witches, we are fortunate that no one from our pack has faced them but we can’t say that anymore. That’s why I have decided that children, omega’s and every elite under 25 will follow my daughter towards the north at my son’s pack ‘Jade moon pack' and others will help stop this demons.  “ what? Father wants me to leave him and others in these dangerous place?

“ father I want to stay and help you all, I can’t leave you and run away! “ I panicked, other few elites said the same after me, father growled at us “ That’s an order, Anna! Order from your alpha! “ I nodded at him and put my head down.

“ Anna, Zain, gamma and beta follow me to the study. Others will be given instructions after an hour or so until then rap up you’re humanly thing till then and meet here again. “ after ordering that he left towards study immediately and we followed him.

               Everyone was silent for the next couple of minutes until mother spoke “ Dear time is running out, you should tell the whole truth to them. “ wa….. Does that mean he hasn’t told everything out there? We all waited for father to talk before asking questions.

Father turned around facing us all and said “ The truth is that the opening of barriers was not natural, we think it was a vampire or vampires who did this with the intention of summoning demons. We don’t exactly know the purpose of this person or if he has already summon them, one thing is clear that they are after strong people who are under 25 or omega’s for a matter of fact, so it’s best if we send them and children away. Not only this but one of the witch has informed us that the barrier weakens when the moon comes out at day time, it’s tomorrow unfortunately and if someone from that side tries to tear the barrier and come to this side the opening will be difficult to close and war can start, it will get more dangerous here than it’s is now. And I suspect those bas***d vampires will take this opportunity to clear us and witches from South.” We were all shocked at this new information, the room was drop pin silent.

               After a while, we decided to follow my father, the alpha. We discussed all strategies. I was going to take everyone to the north by forest way as it was fastest, every elite will be taking children from 6 year’s on, on their back and omega's will carry new-born and under five, other who are strong will carry supply which we’ll be needing for next 10 to 15 days. Father's gamma went to make the list of people who were going to follow me and arrange the group of the army for battle, Zain and fathers beta went to get food, supply for battle and other things. Father also decided that he will make Samuel beta a  Caleb gamma who will be coming with me not only that but they were strongest and mature in all elites.

                   “ Anna, dear come “ father embraced me for few seconds then let me go and said “ Anna you have to take care of the people with you, don’t let them get harm. It’s your responsibility now, take care of yourself child and your brothers too….. remember Anna, you are their alpha, their leader, you are the strongest person…… make me proud daughter  “ For the first time, I was seeing water in my father's eyes it was like he was saying goodbye…….

    “ Dad, don’t worry I’ll take good care of them but you have to promise that you’ll take good care of everyone here and come to get us as fast as possible….. “ I said crying, worse thoughts started to come to mind but they went away as Father hugged me again.

“ I will try my dear…… I… I have few things to take care of, I’ll see you down before leaving. “ he went after messing my hair and giving most the assuring smile.

  “ Anna, my baby girl, I have to stay here with your father but I have a few things for you…. “ mother came in front of me after father left.

I hugged her right and told her my worries “ mom, I don’t know if I can lead them all…. I don’t know if can do this…… “

She looked into my eyes and said confidently “ you can my dear, you definitely can. Just believe in yourself baby….. Now let’s go I have a few things to give you, let’s go to my room . “ mom took my hand and started to walk towards her room. We went to her and I sat on the bed until she brings all thing out from the wardrobe.

             The first thing she brought was a book….. “ mom,  a book…. ??” I asked, she smiled at me then looked at the book and said “ This is the ' Book of knowledge ‘ my mentor gave this to me as a parting gift and now I’m giving this to you. “

“ mom… this is… this is “ tears again start to form in my eyes, she handed me the book “ This was handed down for generations and has every information about all supernatural beings and also the experience they had, I hope this will help you as it did to me. “  I kept the book on the bed and hugged her again. But that was not the only thing she gave, there were two boxes for my brother and very beautiful but sharp knuckles which can tear even steel.

     But that was not all, she gave me a small glass bottle with some blue water in it. “ That is a potion which will help you awaken your witch power, this…. This was the last option we kept if you weren’t able to awaken them by yourself before you turn 20, I hope you won’t need to use this…. “ she said looking a Little guilty.

“ mom…… “ I took her hand in mine “ Thank you…. I know you did this for my good and I am thankful for that…. I promise I will not use this potion until it’s emergency “ she smiled “ okay now go and prepare yourself “ I smiled back and went to my room.

   After packing my bag with couple of clothes and the boxes with other things mother gave, I went down to take care of departure. Samuel and Caleb were talking at one corner so I went towards them, they stop talking when they saw me coming and waved at me. “ Alpha “ they greeted.

“ You don’t have to call me alpha…. Just call me Anna as usual. And Samuel can you  please gather all elites who will be coming with us “ he nodded and went to do so. I turned towards Caleb who was smirking at me.

“ Caleb you are fastest one here so I want you to go first and check surrounding that we are going to travel for six hours and find the emergency places where we can hide everyone if needed……… also keep on contacting me and Samuel every now and then. “ I explained .

“ Okay…… do you me mind if I take one of the guy with me? “ he asked…..

“ If that won’t slow your speed….. Just do one think take someone who can fight. “ I told him, I really hope he doesn’t have to face any vampire or demon while going.

“ okay then, I’ll be taking chess with me. He is 17 but can take down one or two demons in his human form. “ chess….. I know him, he is the one who I wanted to be beta of mine if I started my pack one day .

“ Okay, ….. Just be careful, even though he is strong but remember that he hasn’t awaken his wolf. “

“ yeah…. “ Caleb said and left while waving his hand. After Caleb left with chess, Samuel gathered every elites who were coming with us, There were around 65 elite, 37 omega’s, 42 children and others who weren’t able to turn into wolf. So we decided omega’s and elites who are carrying people will be inside and others will surround them and will follow me, Samuel and two other guys.
