Gears had set the flight controls on automatic for the last several days. Bones, Gears, and the Kid were seated across the galley table from Nick and Siren. They each had a mug of hot tea in front of them but so far no one had taken even a sip.
Everyone was physically and emotionally exhausted after the events on Brimstone V. They all had dark circles under their eyes, reminders of their lack of sleep and their loss of appetite. Gears hadn’t even asked for a glazed donut in over two weeks. This mission would stick with them all for many years to come.
