After more than three weeks of sublight travel, they finally arrived at the Oslun border. Soon they would make the FTL jump to an area of uncharted space in the badlands.
Feeling a slight sense of relief, Nick turned to look over his shoulder as the lift doors cycled opened at the rear of the flight deck. He watched Obri exit the lift accompanied by Siren. She caught Nick’s eye and gave him a wink and a tight, thin-lipped smile.
He’d read her report after she’d completed questioning the man. There was no doubt in her mind he was telling them everything he knew. Nick also had begun to trust the mutineer even before Siren questioned him.
