Asia Call had already left aboard the Survivor when Nick assembled his crew on the flight deck of the Hunter. They were set to launch but Nick decided to brief them on their next assignment before they left Earth orbit.
Nick stood in front of the two pilot seats, his bottom resting against the chair back of the copilot seat. He scanned the eyes of his expectant squad. Their loyalty and friendship meant more to him than anything in the universe. And he was about to lead them into harm’s way for the foreseeable future.
He cleared his throat before starting. "We have a new contract. The terms of which require us to find whoever hired those alien warriors and find an energy field of immense power."
