The great hall was stunning. Astrid couldn't help gazing up at the chandeliers glittering with spelled diamonds, casting rainbows on the walls as they glowed. There were servants bustling everywhere, their eyes snagging curiously on the Shadow Guard escorting their recruits into the hall.
