Astrid was shaken from sleep by a gentle hand. Her eyes opened to see Wraith crouched beside her. "I'm being summoned?" she whispered, careful not to speak loudly enough to wake Raiden. Wraith nodded once, then straightened and moved to the doorway. "Whenever you're ready." Raiden stirred as Astrid sat up. Realizing what was happening, he bolted upright and grabbed her arm. "You aren't taking her," he snarled at the assassin. Astrid rested a calming hand on his knuckles. "I'll be okay," she said quietly. Raiden's eyes cut to Wraith, then back to Astrid, reading the look in Astrid's eyes. "You can't just trust people at the drop of a hat," he said. "You know that." Astrid knelt in front of him. "I trusted you," she said gently. "And I'd say that worked out pretty well, wouldn't you?"
