Chapter 5 "Welcome Home my Wife"

The next morning, Aubrey woke up stretching out and noticed Zane wasn’t in bed. She looked around and noticed she wasn’t in her bedroom “Where am I? She asked herself walking into the restroom. She saw female skin care products, an extra toothbrush and her favorite brand of shampoo and conditioner in the shower. She also walked to the walk-in closet and saw brand new clothes from her favorite brands Chanel, Loui Vuitton, Coach, Cotton On’s and more on the opposite wall. She saw stacks of brand new shoes nicely organized and other drawers with fancy jewelry she couldn’t believe it, was this all for her? When she changes into a beige blouse and some black high-waist jeans with some cute black pumps and her up in a messy bun, she walks downstairs looking around and sees Zane sitting at the table reading the newspaper “Good morning beautiful” he says seeing her “Good morning, where are we?” she asks “Were back in New York City'' he tells her putting the newspaper down “What? but how? And who’s house is this?” she kept asking “This is our house we left while you were sleeping we took my private jet” He says serving her a plate of pancakes and eggs Aubrey looked surprised and amazed he walked next to her sitting her in a chair next to him, he grabs her hand putting a 6 carat diamond ring on her finger kissing her hand “Welcome home my wife” he says smiling at her, Aubrey blushed bright red starting to tear up “What’s wrong?” he asks concerned for her, Aubrey shakes her head “No he-he it’s just been a long time since someone loved me this way” she says whipping away her tears Zane stood up kissing her forehead “Well I hope from now on I’ll be the only man that’ll always make you feel loved” he tells her smiling at her and she smiles at him so brightly.

After they were done eating their breakfast, Zane took Aubrey to city hall “What are we doing here” she asked as he was parking the car “We're getting married” He told her, Aubrey was stunned and nervous as he opened the door for her, grabbing her hand and leading her inside. Two hours later, Zane and Aubrey were officially a married couple and Aubrey was happier than she ever felt. He was extremely sweet to her, but she still had her doubts. On their way home, Aubrey’s phone rang “Hello?” she answers “Wow Jeremy wasn’t kidding you're still alive little big sister”. says Michael, a teenager she adopted 5 years ago “Yes, I’m still alive smart ass how’s school going overseas? When are you back?” She asks “I have been back for 2 years now looking for you since you went M.I.A on me” he tells her, Aubrey was excited “Really you are? Where are you? I'll go to you!” she says “I’m staying from hotel to hotel for business I just finished one so I’m free now” Aubrey’s smile went away “Michael I’ve already told you not to be going on business on your own unless Jeremy or myself are with you” she says strictly “I’m 18 years old already sis, you’ve trained me well I’ll be fine” he tells her calmly Aubrey rolled her eye’s annoyed “Where do you want to meet? we have a lot to talk about” she tells him “The Equinox Hotel” he says “Got it” she says hanging up Zane grabbed her hand “Is everything ok babe?” he asks Aubrey smiled putting her fingers thru his “Yea everything’s fine my adoptive brother is back and wants to meet up do you mind dropping me off at the Equinox Hotel?” she asks, Zane thought about it for a moment “Yea I can do that” he says driving straight there. When they get there, Zane parks the car opening the door for Aubrey “I’ll only be a few hours I’ll be home later today” she says, getting out of the car “You’ll be fine going in on your own?” He asks Aubrey smiles “Your wife’s a tough woman don’t worry about me” she says smiling at him Zane’s heart skipped a beat hearing her say that “Alright do what you have to do I need to go to a meeting anyways and keep my promise to my wife to look for my father-in-law” he tells her leaning in giving her a kiss Aubrey kisses him back “Be safe my husband” she says waving “I will my wife” he says getting into the car starting to drive away.
