Chapter 7 "Run an Investigation"

At the Equinox Hotel that morning, Aubrey arrived to meet up with her best friend Amanda Moreno to have some lunch “Hi Aubrey” Amanda say’s getting off the taxi Aubrey smiles wide walking up to her “Hi Mandy” She says back giving her a big hug “Where’ve you been these past 3 years? I thought you abandoned me” Amanda say’s pouting crossing her arms Aubrey giggle’s “I’d never abandoned my girl” she says putting her arm around her neck kissing her check Amanda giggles hugging her back “Come on we have reservations” Aubrey says leading her inside to the dining area “Hello miss my name is Jasmine and I’ll be your waitress for today, What can I get for you to drink?” she asks, passing them the menu’s “Yes can we have a bottle of Stella Rosa please” Aubrey says “Of course I’ll be right back with your bottle” the waitress says walking away “So tell me what’s new?” Amanda asks her “Well I’ve recently gotten married” Aubrey tells her showing her the giant rock on her finger starts to blush “What?! Really to whom?” Amanda asks curious “To Zane Costello” she says Amanda looked surprised “Zane Costello? the youngest President of Costello Towers New York’s top company and a member of New York’s top Gang Family?” Amanda asks, “Yes that’s him” she tells her as the waitress brings the bottle for them with two wine glasses “Thank you” they both say, “Just let me know when you're ready to order” the waitress says walking away “How did you two meets?” Amanda asks, opening the bottle “It’s quite a long story” Aubrey says, passing her the glasses “We have all day spill” Amanda says passing a glass of wine to her “Well we…” as Aubrey was about to say something Brian walks into the dining area “Aubrey? Is that you?” He asks walking up to them Aubrey sighs annoyed “Hello Brian what can I do for you?” she asks putting her glass down. As they were talking assistant James passed by wondering how Ms. Aubrey knows Brian Matthew’s he dials Zane’s phone “Sir Ms. Aubrey is here for lunch as well also my Matthew’s is with her and she doesn’t look pleased talking to him” He says Zane was upstairs in a meeting “I’ll be right there!” Zane says hanging up “Meeting adjourned” he says walking out the office.

Downstairs “Where have you been the past 3 years?” Brian asks her smiling Aubrey looked at Amanda and they both rolled their eyes “Busy” Aubrey says straight forward not looking at him Brian pulled out the chair “Do you mind if I sit? I have something to tell you”. Aubrey puts her hand up stopping him “No need for that! a nobody like me has lots of things to do unlike you, who has lots of time on your hands” Brian sits down anyways” I only need 10 minutes” Aubrey rolls her eyes “What do you want?” Brian leans in close to her “Look I know Genevieve and I betrayed you and I want to apologize, have you forgiven me?” he asks, “Brian I don’t care anymore to be honest what you both did to me was an eye opener to me and after what the Camacho's did to me, I’ll make sure to make them suffer!” she tells him making the murderous stair “How can you say that? You should be grateful they made sure you were living well in California after paying you thousands of dollars” Aubrey was shocked "Live in California paid me thousands of dollars? Is that what they told you?” Brian looked confused “Isn’t that it?” Aubrey laughs sarcastically "Your kidding, right? Did your IQ go low since college? How do you manage your company?” Brian looks at her hurt “I’m really disappointed, you weren’t like this when we were together what exactly happened that made you change?” Aubrey leans in “Brian you should worry more about your girlfriend then me” As Amanda was listening “Brian you really are an i***t for having such a girlfriend like Genevieve” Amanda says to him grinning with Aubrey Brian looks at her “Amanda you shouldn’t even be interfering since you also were friends with Genevieve, so I’d keep my mouth shut if I were you” Amanda laughs “Are you kidding? Considering the shameless things, she did to Aubrey I'm happy I’m not friends with that pampered b***h” Brian looks back to Aubrey “Aubrey I don’t know why you want them to suffer but I’d advise you to stop if Mr. Camacho finds out I don’t know what he’ll do to you” Aubrey slams both hands on the table standing up “Let him find out I'm not scared of that old fart what else can he do that he hasn’t already?” “Let him try to touch Aubrey with me around and well see how he survives” Zane says walking in, Brian looked at him confused "Zane Costello? This matter is between Aubrey and I its best you do not interfere between us” “Mr. Matthews I was here for a meeting and never thought I’d see you put my wife in a difficult spot” Zane says walks next to Aubrey grabbing her waist "As her husband do you think I’m really interfering?” He asks looking at Brian, Brian stood their shocked "What? Aubrey is this true?" Aubrey looks into Zane’s eyes "That’s right! Zane is my husband, the one and only man, in my life” Zane kisses her forehead smiling down to her. Brian chest hurt "How can she marry another man so quick! especially Zane Costello New York’s number #1 bachelor” he thought, Briand looks at Aubrey heartbroken “Aubrey your just saying, that right? You only loved me in the past, did you forget that?” Zane mad dogs him thinking "Why would Aubrey fall for that kind of person!?" Aubrey turns to him "In the past, you used to tell me you loved me but ended up in my best friend’s bed! did you forget that?” Zane grins "But I have to thank Mr. Matthews if he hadn’t cheated where’d I find such a good wife?” he says to himself Aubrey glares annoyed "Please don’t say such things like that anymore because you have no right to say that!” she tells him Brian grabs Aubrey’s arm "I don’t believe that I’m sure you still have me in your heart if not why do you want the Camacho’s to suffer and hate Genevieve so much?” he asks Aubrey slaps his hand away "That’s because the things they've done to me are unforgettable, I won’t let anyone who made me suffer go easily! I’ll make sure their whole family collapse and die off completely” Aubrey says with a straight face, Zane felt pain hearing her talk like that "The Camacho’s put my Aubrey threw so much pain, I’ll make sure to make them suffer!” he tells himself tightening his fist “Aubrey what exactly happened in the past?” he asks again Aubrey grins "If you're that interested investigate it, I’m sure what you find won’t disappoint you” “Fine I will run an investigation on it” Brian says then walks away Zane brings Aubrey in for a big hug "Are you ok?" he asks Aubrey hugged him back "Yea I’m fine just annoyed and angry” she says "OH, that reminds me Amanda this is my husband Zane, Zane babe this is my best friend Amanda Moreno” she says introducing them Amanda and Zane shake hands “A pleasure miss Moreno how’s your father doing?” Amanda greets him back "He's fine now thanks for asking" "Shall we enjoy this wine now?" she asks sitting down serving the wine "Do you want to join us?" Aubrey asks Zane "Of course, Miss another glass please" he calls out that afternoon they enjoyed their meal talking and laughing.
