CHAPTER TEN ALFRIC BECAME AWARE of his brother’s voice on the other end of the phone. “We have our connection.” He told his brother. “Pleasance just identified the bridge.” The blare of an alarm suddenly filled the house. Alfric ran to his wall of monitors and saw several, darkly-clad figures inside the warehouse. He programmed numbers rapidly into the monitor and ran back toward the kitchen as smoke spewed from the monitor. “They’ve found us.” He told Edric. “We need to move.
