Chapter 9: Dom's P.O.V

Laying in my bed, staring up at the ceiling I cannot help but get this unsettling feeling in my chest and stomach.. Since the night at the club 2 days ago, seeing my "Mate" leave with that bouncer made me so angry and even hurt me a little..

"Why"???????? I ask myself

"Ease up man" my wolf says

"No Dimitri, I cannot stop thinking about her, why did she not leave with me, why leave with Skull"??

"I donno man, woman are strange creatures"

"Go figure bro" I say

I need to drag my ass out of bed, haven't slept haven't eaten, I feel numb to the world..

"You smell worse than a dog man" Dimitri says

"Yeah yeah"

"Get up and go take a shower, u reek"

"I can't man, I feel like a part of me is missing, I cannot help but shake the feeling that something is wrong" I say

"I know Dom, I have that unsettling feeling to"

"U do???" I ask

"Yip bro, I just didn't want to say anything man"

I jerk upright and scramble to get to the shower, as I stand under the warm water cascading down my back I close my eyes just letting the thoughts simmer out of my head.. When I close my eyes I cannot help but see her face in front of me, her beautiful green eyes, striking black hair, she is god send, so beautiful and pure..

Getting out of the shower I make my way back to the room, dropping my towel to the floor I march over to my walk in closet and grab a pair of black jeans and a white button up shirt with some black and white vans, I don't even bother with my hair.

I give myself a once over in the mirror, damn I look like s**t.

"Dimitri, why didn't u tell me I look like s**t man"

"Well you never asked"

"Next time, take over and help me bro, my sanity depends on it" I say

In the kitchen I grab a cup of strong coffee just to wake me up and give me the boost I need.

"I think we need a plan of action"

"Yes we do, but where do we start?" Dimitri asks

"I think I know just the place man"

"Well do tell Dom"

"Not yet my man not yet" I say

"Why not?"

"We need to run some errands first for the house, if my hunch is right we need to get some feminine stuff for her because when I find her I as sure as hell will not be leaving her side EVER again"

"Damn straight, lets go man"

Hoping into my car I drive to the nearest convenient store and pickup a few things, some groceries, some flowers, some shampoo, razors, a hair brush, some treats, Ice cream and chocolates.

Heading to the clothes store I tell the lady I want some nice silk and cotton panties with matching bra's and things, some nice comfortable nighties, breathable ones.

Loading the stuff in the boot, I start heading back to my penthouse.

After packing the things away I go to take another shower, getting dressed in black jeans and a red t-shirt with black and red pumas, I do my hair up a little, making it look sexy and spray on some cologne.

"Joh man, why are u so dressed up?"

"Remember I told you, I had a hunch?" I ask

"Yes yes I remember now what about it?"

"I think that bouncer has something to do with the unsettling feeling in the pit of my stomach, he has OUR MATE"

A low growl escapes my lips

"We are going back to the club Dimitri, tonight we have to be all ears and all eyes, we need to listen and we need to see, we need to find clues and first of all we need to befriend Skull"

This time a loud growl from Dimitri

"Calm down wolf, we have to find our mate and he is our only option"

11 o'clock comes and I head down to my car and drive of to the club, this is the best time to go, the club is pulsing and busy and this hour.

Parking my car in the VIP section , I make my way to the door, skipping the line at the door off course (perks of having a VIP pass)

"Howzit man" I say

"Sup bro, long time no see, what how long has it been 2 days now" Skull says

"3 actually" I say

He eyes me and starts laughing, patting my back lightly

"So what brings you hear today of all days man" he asks me

"Well I have my eye on this pretty little number and I came to check her out"

(I cannot let him know that I am here for my mate, it will ruin everything)

He laughs and lets me in

Walking to the bar my wolf growls

"What do yo think?" I ask

"He was near our mate" he growls

"Shhhhhhhhhh wolf I know, I could smell her scent all over him"

"His gonna die Dom , I will rip him limb from limb" Dimitri says

I feel myself tensing up, palms become sweaty and I know my wolf is pushing to the surface to be let out

"DOWN BOY" I say

"Noooooooo my wolf shouts"

"I SAID STOP NOW" I command in my alpha voice

"Yes Alpha" Dimitri says

"Now lets head to the bar and get a drink"

Sipping on my 4th brandy on the rocks, I sit with my back towards the bar checking out the dance floor for any clues or anything suspicious, as I am sipping I see a lady approach me out the corner of my eyes.

"Hey" she says

Turning and putting my drink down, I face the woman, it's my mates friend from the other night, she looks like crap I must say

"Hi there" I say

"How are you holding up, do you remember me, I was in here with my friend Carmen around 3 days ago"

"Yes I remember you, you and your friend put on a little show for me, how can I forget" I say

She is flushed and lets out a little chuckle

"Listen, sorry about that, she just wanted to give her mate a little show"

My head turns around so fast almost giving myself whiplash

"What did you say?" I ask her

"Your mate, she is your mate isn't she?"

"Well yes technically, we haven't marked one another but yes she is my mate"

"I am glad, she's been through hell and back in the past, she deserves someone to love"

I look at her as she speaks and I see tears forming in her eyes

"Can I buy you a drink uhm????"

"Til's call me til's, everyone else does"

"Well then Til's can I buy you a drink?"

"Yes please, scotch on the rocks"

"Nice" I say

"Yeah I have been so worried about Carmen, she hasn't been returning any of my calls, it's so unlike her you know" she says

"No I wouldn't know but I will take your word for it" I say

As the night progresses I feel a little more relaxed and comfortable around my mates friend, she seems genuine and really caring. We speak a lot, drinking and laughing getting to know each other.

"Mmmmm just what we need" Dimitri says

"Come again" I ask

"A distraction Dom, the bouncer has been eyeing us the whole night and you failed to notice"

"Well, I could feel him staring but I could not make it obvious wolf" I say

"I wonder what he is up to, he is very suspicious, he is good thou I must say, keeping his composure like that not giving anything away"

"Yes I got that too"

"So tell me Dom, what do you do for a living" Til's asks me

"Well I am an architect"

"Oh, nice" she says

"Yes, I love doing what I do, it calms me and I love drawing, I am very skilled if I may say so myself"

She smiles brightly and laughs, she is a very attractive woman but I only have eyes for my mate

"Our MATE" my wolf says

"Yeah yeah man, chill out ok" I say through the mindlink

"I am the one who needs to be all worked up and aggressive, but here I am keeping my wolf calm" I say

Chuckling low, I shake my head to myself

"What's so funny" she asks me

"No nothing, just having a little disagreement with my wolf"

"O right, I wish I had a wolf, but me being human and all I know it isn't possible"

"Well it actually is"I say

"She grabs my arm squeeling, seriously"

"Yes, if you should meet your destant mate and he is a wolf he could turn you, it's not 100% safe because you are human but it could work" I say

"Mmmm as if" she scoffs

"Why do you think so little of yourself" I ask

"Well me and Carmen grew up together in an orphanage, that is how I got to learn that she is a werewolf, her parents disowned her when she was just 12, they were werewolfs themselves but they never wanted a daughter they wanted a son, to carry on the legacy as alpha"

"Mmmmm, what pack did she belong to" I ask

" I am not sure, she's never mentioned that to me, when I asked she said it is not important as they are dead to her"

I cannot help but feel a little sad for my mate, she was so young and had to live her whole life with the rejection of her parents, how sad.

"Well if you don't mind, I can maybe introduce you to a few werewolfs I know" I say

"Really, you would do that for me" she asks

"Yes I would, I would love to see you happy and it will make me happy knowing mates best friend is happy too" I say

"Dom, check it out his leaving"

I turn my head and look towards the door , he surely is leabing, tossing back the remainder of my drink, I put my glass down.

"Well thanks for the chat and drinks Til's, but I have to head on home, have some plans to draw up for a contractor I am seeing tomorrow" I say

"Yes, offcourse I understand, thank's again" she smiles

As I am grabbing my coat, she grabs me by the writs and pulls me down, whispering in my ear

"I know you wolf have abilities like no human can ever have but please help me find Carmen, something isn't right and I have an eerie feeling since she left the club with Skull, I was watching you when you kept eyeing him a few times tonight, that low growl could be heard from anywhere" she said

I couldn't help but stare at her, dumbfounded

"Well for a human, you are very attentive" I say

"Well thank you, growing up with a werewolf as my best friend, I kinda had to be" she laughs

"I am sorry about this Til's but I cannot help, I need to leave now" I say

Her smile fades and tears prickle her eyes

"I.. I thought you were different" she cries

"I am sorry, I am not interested in my mate, she refused to chose the path that has been assigned for us" I say

I turn and walk away, regret is what I feel right now but I couldn't let her know that I am onto Skull and that we have the same feeling, I cannot put her in harms way, she is so fragile and weak for a human, I had to lie..

"You did the right thing Dom"

"Yes I know, but I do feel a little guilty" I say

Heading out the club I catch a glimpse of Skull climbing into his truck, making my way over to my car I get in and slowly following Skull to what looks like an abandoned building.

"Mmmm...."

"What" I ask

"Our mate is here, I can smell her" my wolf says

"Fuck.., Shit.. God dammit" I yell

A low but deep growl comes from my mouth, parking the car and slowly getting out, not wanting Skull to hear me.

I hear faint crying and pleading

"Pleassse Skull, let me go, I am no use to you" she says

Thanks to my wolf hearing I can hear her from a long distance

"OUR MATE" Dimitri says

"Lets go get OUR MATE" I growl

I have no doubt that my wolf has now taken over, and I sure as hell wont stop him, nothing is getting in our way, I need to save my mate..
