My breath caught as i was instantly hugged. I stood there shocked and stiffened at the hug, and after a few minutes, i felt myself getting relaxed.
I didn’t know why he was doing it, why he came to my rescue, chased Sasha and her fellow minions, defended me, touched touched my face and then, hugged me. It somehow confused me. I didn’t know how to act with how he was acting around me. We had never been friends or really talked, although, i had seen him watching me a few times, but that was about it, so him taking care of me and rescuing me left me confused, but at least, appreciative of his efforts and care.
The silence stretched but his it felt an oddly comforting, one of his hand patted down on my hair softly.
“You’re fine now.” Carl whispered to my ears, and i felt myself smile soft
