Roisin is sleeping, it's 11:30pm. Where the hell is EM? I called her and surprised that the CEO Daniel himself answered her phone. I know that she got on well with him, but does she really go straight to the bosses house and tell him what had happened? **** this girl is in the know. "Hi, is Em there." I asked. "Yes, she's sleeping. Is that Sinead? How's Roisin doing? " he asked, concerned. "Am she sleeping a bit shook up, but I've got her." I said apprehensively. "OK, Sinead, tomorrow I don't want you girls to come into work. I have to make some arrangements with the police to come interview Miss Slane in the morning. They will take you to the station where she will be given a statement. Get pictures plus clothing she was wearing for DNA. This is not just a case of me firing him, I need to be doing this, right? I can't have this happen to another person again." He said all professional and so organized. Man, if Em doesn't bang this man, I think I will. "OK, Mr. O'Connell. Is there anything else?" I asked. "Roisin wake up, love. Come on, the police are here to talk to you. " Rosin opened her eyes, looking shocked and scared. I ran to her and put my arms around her, "What what What's going on? Why is the garda here?" She paniced. " Calm down. Mr O'Connell arranged it last night. He needs you to make a full statement. We need to get this ******* Roisin." I said while holding her. The door knocked. "I'm coming," I shouted. "Go to the bathroom, get ready. I'll put the kettle on, and I will be here all day with you. " She looked surprised and said, "What about work?" "You got paid leave, Daniel told us not to come in until he says so. OK, now get your *** into the shower. "I smiled at her. She goes to the bathroom, and I let DS Brown in. "Sorry for keeping you. Please come in." I said to the police lady.

After two hours of going over everything DD, Brown didn't need us to go to the station. She was able to take Roisin clothes and pictures of her breasts and wrists, where there was lots of bruising. She was a very kind woman and put Roisin and myself at ease. After she left, I cooked us some breakfast early lunch. Em called about Daniel asking me to keep things quiet until he was in touch. I didn't know what else I could do, but just trust him.

Daniels POV

After waking up with Em in my arms, I couldn't help but feel so protective over her. Remembering what my staff member had done to my interns. It didn't matter where or who they are. That s**t will not be tolerated in my company. I spoke with Sinead last night, so I knew the girls were safe. I called my friend DC Brown to follow up on this, as I was not letting this go. God knows if there were other women who had come to work for me over the years. From Ireland that this has happened to. Come to think of it. I have run this international internship for four years now, and only three men have remained with the company. Out of 15 or so interns I had over the past four years. I hope there is not a connection. After me and Em were interrupted by my housekeeper. I would say that we had a moment where Em was blushing, looking at me, and when I asked why, she wanted to kiss me. Well, I couldn't help imagining that image. When Lily interrupted us, God, I was going to sack that woman at this point. I broke the tension and made no reaction. That what she said affected me and carried on. She really was just a breath of fresh air. Not giving a care about anything. We arrived at work. I couldn't help but think that Em looked great in Aunt Pearls clothes. I contacted Karen Baker from HR as soon as I entered my office. Karen answered, "Yes, Daniel, what's up?" I explained to Karen about what had happened. To say that she was livid was an understatement, but it wasn't just this time I wanted to address. I asked her to pull all the files in the past interns. I contacted Paul Campbell and arranged an investigatory as he was Darren's boss in market research. The meeting was set in my conference room on the top floor. When I Em walked in holding a coffee cup, I didn't need her to hear this, so I ended the call. She looked p****, and when I explained my arrangements for today's proceedings, she was not happy. Because she knows I was right and she didn't come off with any back talk. That's a first. When she leaves, Paul calls back, wanting to know what was going on. When I told him there had been a complaint, he informed me that darren had. Emailed him this morning explaining a misunderstanding. I had him forward me the email. I texted DS claire Brown for her report. She replied that it would be with me by 11:00 AM. I opened the email from Darren had sent to Paul.

Dear Mr. Campbell.

I would like to make a complaint regarding the intern Roisin Slane. When collecting paperwork from HR department yesterday at 4:00 PM. I needed to make a copy when entering the copy room, Roisin was printing off some work. When I brush past her, accidentally, I think I may have brushed against her bottom, which I obviously did not realize how close I was to her before I could apologize. She threw her head into my nose and nearly broke it. I fell hard to the ground, and she walked out and left me. I know that she may think I'm flirtatious, but it was not meant to be physical in any way. I felted her reaction to this altercation, which was unnecessary and uncalled for. I did not get the chance to apologize for what an accident was. But her actions were uncalled for. That slimy little s***. Man, this a***** is good. He covered his own back before anything came out of it. I need to do a full investigation into him and his work buddies. There's something not sitting right with me at all. It's just too good a cover. I go to see Em to make sure she knows what I need her to do. I can't have her temper f****** this up. Lacey and Em are nowhere to be found on the top floor. What the hell, please do not tell me she's away looking for him. I called for them, and they both came out of the ladies. Lacey looked awful with an empty tea cup in her hand when I asked EM what was going on. Emily just answered, "We're mencies buddies." lacey Just started laughing at me. I'm not in the mood, but I know I can't go off on one. So will Em and I can't have that. I followed her into the spare office. Making sure she leaves the building after we are in the meeting and does not return until I tell her to. Emily's POV

I was so busy with my head in my work I did not hear anything until I got a knock at the door. It's Sean. "What the h*** are you doing here?" I said surprise, "Well, b*tch nice to see you too. " He laughed "Its 20 past. Come on, b****. I need a foot long." "Oh dont we all" I winked at him, and we both laughed. "s*** I didn't even notice the time." I grabbed my bag and left behind Sean. Before I could hear or see anything to start me off. Me and Sean sat in subway for over 2 hours. When we see a security man escorting Dinger out of the building. We were like 2 windy Lickers watching out the window looking at an angry dinger being handed his belonging by another security guard. We were loving it. I was about to get up and leave to confront him while Sean slid in the seat beside me. Stopping me from getting out. "What are at" I asked, "No b***h you can't mess with this. This is for Roisin." He was right. We waited on a call from Daniel. If it didn't happen in the next 20 minutes. Me and Sean were going to Mc flanigan's to get drunk. 5 minutes later, my phone rang. Lacey calling to say that there was more work to be done and could me and Sean take the rest of the day off. Daniel would be in touch. I asked what happened but Lacey wouldn't say. I said I'll text her later to see how she's feeling me and Sean went back to mine. We landed up outside Roisin flat. Sinead opened the door. We had three bottles of wine in a box of beer under seans arms. "Happy ******* days lads" Sinead screamed. Roisin was looking a lot better. We played some music hung out and then decided to go to mine for a movie. We pulled the mattress off my bed. Pulled it in front of the sofa and pulled all the blankets over us and had a slumber party. Roisin needed this too know she was being looked after. After 10:00 PM there was a knock on the door. I jumped up. A bit tipsy and opened the door.

Daniel was standing. Looking very confused. "What are you doing here?" I said surprised. "Sorry I did call but there was no answer." He said I looked at the guys to say did anyone hear my phone and Sinead said it was at Roisin."s**t OK, I'll go get it" I looked at Daniel and realized he's still there. Walked in and sat my work stuff on the counter and said "no thank you, but I do need you to work from home tomorrow and keep your phone on you." "OK boss, no bother. Where is my phone?" I smiled joking about Knowing it was at Roisin. "OK, I will go up with you and get it. Roisin are you OK? Everyone addressed him when I walked back out the door and up the stairs. "Em I can't tell you what's happening. Just trust me please. I need you to work from home and come in with Rosin tomorrow afternoon." He continued "And return your files and laptops to the office and we can talk more." We made it to Rosin apartment on the 5th floor. This was my workout done for the week. I let myself in and find my phone. Daniel walked me back to mine. I stopped and looked at him on the last step outside my apartment. He connected his eyes and smiled. "Thank you for last night. I hadn't planned on sleeping with my boss twice now. We all chilled out on the mattress, not even watching the movie anymore. I tell them all about the night of the ball, and last night, to say they were shocked was an understatement. They fell about the place, laughing their *** off me. The b******. We all fell asleep, all sprawled out together. We all awoke at 7:00 AM. Sean and Sinead went to hers to get ready when me and Roisin had breakfast. We called them an Uber so they couldn't be late. They all agreed not to say anything more about Daniel. I didn't want to make anything off it. We all went about our business. Roisin and me worked from the Kitchen Island. She was brilliant to have around because she worked in the HR department and knows American law and international law. So she was able to help me with the contracts. That would have taken me days back and forth with the department's, this cut the time in half. At 12 noon, Daniel called to ask if we could come into the office at 2:30 PM. He explained to Roisin It was up to her to have a witness. She knew all this anyway. She asked me to set in the meeting. We arrived at 2:00 PM for the meeting. Roisin was nervous, but thankfully, no one said or acknowledged her. We were brought into the conference room with Karen Baker, Paul Campbell. Daniel, and two other men present. Daniel introduced them as Mr. Smith and Mr. Black from blacksmith and Co. Law office. Holy ****. What's going on? After Roisin made her statement and they showed us the police report and darren Formal complaint letter. What the hell that cheeky *******. I was about to expose and lose it when Daniel put his hand on my knee and looked at me hard in the eyes to stay calm and know I couldn't lose it right now I kept my cool. When we went through, the meeting was over. Mr. Black asked Daniel, "How many complaints are we looking at in total?" "4 so far, but we have problems locating some of them." he answered. What the fresh hell was he talking about? "Ladies, thank you for your time. You're excused, "Daniel said to me and Roisin. We got up and left the office. Daniel followed. While closing the door behind him. "Please take a seat in my office, and you want to grab yourself some coffee. I'll be there in a while," Daniel said to me and Roisin. " Can we wait in my office. I'm nearly finished with the partnership agreement. " I replied. He looked surprised. "Sure, that would be great. I'll come looking for you when we're finished here. " He looked at Roisin. "You did really well, Roisin. i know that wasn't easy," he said softly to her. What a sweetheart I thought. stop it brain. Roisin and i grabbed coffees and went to my office to finish the work. After a hour we heard everyone leaving. Daniel knocked on my door and opened it. "Ladies, if you would like to join me in my office, please". It was nearly 5:00 PM, but there was Lots of unanswered questions. When we entered his office Lacey was there looking really tired. "Please have a seat", Daniel said. We sat in the seats in front of his desk. Lacey sat the far end of his desk, ready to take notes. I got worried what was going on, but before I said anything Daniel started.
