I was looking at Chloe asleep on the sofa and I just felt helpless. I want to help her heal and I'm realising that I need her just as much as I hope she needs me.
I hear my phone bleep and pull my phone from my pocket.
I see that it is from Matt.
'Meet me and the ocean bar, let's talk'
I thought about it and as much as I have nothing to say to him I feel I should go. We have been friends for such a long time since we were children that I should give him some time at least to see sense.
I messaged him back
'20 mins'
I crouched down to Chloe and could see she was in a deep sleep.
