I woke up and felt arms wrapped around me, I was warm and cosy, I felt no pain and just love. I realised then that I had slept through the night. I sat up and Lucas had rolled over, he was still asleep and I couldn't help but smile.
I looked at the time and saw that it was 6.07am, so I walked to the bathroom to wash.
I had the longest shower, I stood in it for such a long time, the really warm water on my skin soothed some of the aches I still had from bruising. I was careful not to get my head dressing wet as I had to keep that dry for another 11 days. Part of me wants to see the damage underneath but the other part of me is dreading to see what Nathan has done to my face.
When I look back on that night now I no longer feel disgusting and dirty, I now feel proud that I put up a damn
