It was nice of Lucas to take Jacob out, I trust him and know that Jacob likes him.
I sat at the island in the kitchen with a coffee and watched Lucas make me an omelette.
"Thank you, for today" I said.
"You don't need to thank me, we are a family now and besides you made the most beautiful cake for my mother" He smiled as he grabbed a plate.
I don't know how I did it but I found the most beautiful and thoughtful man that I feel safe and protected with.
I heard my phone ringing and saw that it was Dominic Hayes.
Lucas looked just as confused so I picked it up and pressed on the loud speaker icon so that Lucas could also hear.
"He.. Hello" I said now placing the phone back on the counter.
"Chloe. I have some news from your case" His voice was quick and abrupt.
