I couldn't help but feel nervous, not because it's the first person I am introducing to my mum. It is more the fact that she can be abrupt with no filter and I have kept so much from her to protect Chloe.
I start making drinks whilst thinking about all different scenarios in my mind.
I walk down to Sylvia's room and knock on the door.
"Come in dear" I heard Sylvia say.
I opened the door and saw Sylvia sitting on the side of the bed, her legs dangling off the bed with her frame in front of her.
"Sorry to intrude...was looking for Chloe but if she is busy it can wait" I said smiling.
I could hear the loud running water coming from the bathroom knowing that she is getting a bath ready for her nan.
