Chapter 17 - Visitor

My eyes slowly opened and my blurry vision focused on the first thing that got in my view which was the plain wall of my room painted in soft green. I kept my stares in that direction for a while as I blinked away the heaviness and sleepiness away from my eyes. I tried to adjust my vision with the brightness that occupied my room, but keeping my eyes open for too long when I just woke up, resulted in a sting of pain in my orbs.   I tightly closed my eyes and changed my sleeping position to lie on my back, then waited for a few more seconds before I tried opening my eyes again. I found myself staring at the plain white ceiling of my room, with the light still on, and I stared blankly at it for a moment even though there was really nothing in there for me to look at.
