It was Ransom's turn to be surprised when Leena asked him to stay for dinner. He wasn't quite sure how to respond. What did this mean? What was he supposed to do? She had a fiance who'd literally just left after they'd been on a date.... Even if she didn't really like her fiance, he wasn't sure it was right for him to stay in her house any longer while it was just the two of them.
“Didn't you just come back from dinner?" he managed to croak out.
