The phone rang only twice before her father answered. Even though she had purposefully dialed the number, she was surprised to hear his voice on the other line. It had already been a week since Leena broke up with Brian. Brian had come back to the house two days later and apologized for his behavior, but she wouldn't let him inside. She had told him that she was sorry if he felt like she wasted his time but that in a few weeks he would realize he was better off without her. She'd told him that he deserved to be in a more loving relationship and that he'd make someone else very happy someday. It was all of the stuff she'd heard in romantic movies and things Adriene had said about her random flings, but it was the truth. She felt bad for him. She felt guilty for using him for so long. But
