This isn't good, Leena thought. Brian was standing in her living room, practically begging her to let him come back to her, and Ransom was due to show up any moment. “Leena, you don't understand. I need you as much as you need me. Even if it's not love, I don't care," he said. Leena scoffed and crossed her arms. She wasn't sure what that meant, but she was past that. She found someone to risk not being perfect with, and even though it was early and already had been very bumpy, she already felt better about it. “That's not the type of thing you say to a girl you're trying to win back," she said, annoyed. “But there's no spiel you can give me that's going to make me change my mind about ending our engagement. I was just doing it for my parents anyway." Brian gnashed his teeth together.
