"Thanks, Neal!" Vernon said it just before he actually left the prison.
"Don't touch me, Vernon!" Neal brushed off Vernon's hand that was about to hug his body.
Vernon put on an incomprehensible face. "What's the matter with you, Neal!" Vernon's rebuke sounded loud.
Neal threw a disapproving smile at Vernon. "I did accept your money. That's all I do for my family's life! But that doesn't mean I forgive you for what you have done to Ethan!"
Vernon was silent, he realized that he deserved a look of hatred from Neal who was clearly a friend of Ethan.
"You must hate me, Neal! Carry on with your hatred. I really deserve it after what I did to Ethan!" Vernon paused his sentence to hold back the tightness in his heart.
