CHAPTER EIGHT

1190 Words
Asad The sound of the alarm ringing in the morning is the most discomforting sound, particularly, when I'm having the best of dreams. Now ‘the best of dreams’ for you may be a soft beautiful scene from your favorite RomCom movie. But with me it entails winning the war, getting rid of Basit makhthum, and taking over Al Hilal. I rolled over to the other side of the bed, still in my blanket and my eyes still closed. Do I have to wake up? ‘ if you want to put your plan into effect, you do have to Asad’ ok! Ares, point made. I stretched my hands to turn off the beautiful black woody box-looking Alarm Clock on my nightstand. Still, in bed, I grabbed my phone open to check my notification. * Reminder: enroll as a student in Nukhba Academy. I know what you're thinking... How is it possible for a son of a fugitive to be enrolled in the most prestigious school in alsharq al'awsat? It was the initial plan, but the old Asad couldn't take up the task. I better get ready, I wouldn't want to be late on my first day. My lips made a stroke to the side forming a smirk. Asad’s pov end. Asad made his way out of the manor and into his Range Rover Evoque. On his way, he pondered about the first move to make when he finally sees Yara, do i pretend I don't remember Morocco? Or do I just go with whatever comes? Ok! Go with whatever comes. He let out a frustrating grunt. He was ready to deal with the makhthums but he isn't prepared for what was to come. Asad arrived at nukhba a few minutes late. The parking lots were deserted. Clenching on what seemed to be his transfer papers, Asad made his way to the principal's office. Asad’s pov. After an eternity of boring school talks. I was finally directed to meet a ‘Mr stone’ at the gymnasium. “Good morning sir, my name is Asad I am a new transfer student,” I said to a tall muscular man that stood in front of me next to the gymnasium. “Oh Mr. Asad, I am Mr. Stone, you defense instructor, do follow me will you”. He gestured and I obeyed following him one step after another into a very big hall that has a group of students seated in a circular form. “Attention everybody!” I heard Mr. Stone exclaim. The students went from mumbling to utter silence. Starting at me curiously. “Good!” Me. Stone continued “I am pleased to announce to you that we have an exchange student,” he said motioning to me speak. I could feel the students prying at me curiously. Could she be here too? Why do I have a strong feeling that she's looking at me too? I lifted my face to talk, but I got carried away looking everywhere for her “uhmm” I said inaudibly. “Hello everyone, my name is Asad, I am a transfer student from Egypt” I managed to say my eyes still looking deeply in the crowds. I heard Mr. Stone continue, though this time his voice was faint “so everyone Asad will be joining us for the rest of the school year...” there she is, Yara. In a beautiful dark green lacy gown and black platform boots. It seems she has a thing for boots, I remember she was wearing a different boot yesterday when aries emerged. She was looking straight at me, her hair covering half of her face. She doesn't look well. I could see her flushed cheek and swollen eyes from where I was standing. How is it possible that she looks so beautiful? Her beautiful golden eyes are so captivating I cannot stop staring, she looks down at her boots so shyly packing the strands of the hair covering the other side of her face under her ear, there it is her beautiful bright smile. ... “Mr. Asad? Mr. Asad?” I was startled. Seems Mr. Stone has been calling out to me. I look at him trying to seem like he has had my undivided attention. “Grab a seat, Mr. Asad, there can only be one captain on this boat,” he said patting me on the back and chuckling. I made my way to find a seat. The only available seat was next to her, I hesitated a little, searching hopelessly for another seat to take on. “Take a seat Mr. Asad”, I heard Mr stone say from behind me. I walked briskly passed her, trying to avoid another unbreakable eye contact. I heard the two girls who I remember as the ones I saw standing at the entrance with her yesterday, giggle. Could I have done something embarrassing? Oh, dear Aries, we’ve put on a great task. Why did I think I could do this. Asad’s pov end. Yara’s pov ...his eyes met mine and I forgot that which kept me worried. His beautiful hazel eyes, the electrifying feeling I get when he is close to me, how is it possible that I can smell his scent from a distance? his musk, his beautiful earthy musky scent... I can't contain myself, Athena. Why does he look different though? His shoulders are broader, and I can see the way his arms’ muscles formed underneath his black leather jacket. I have never seen black look so sexy. ‘Easy there tigeress’, I know Athena, i’m pathetic. Our eyes are still locked together, I look down at the dust that fell on boots, packing the hair that sat on my face. How dare you dust. “Mr. Asad?” I heard Mr. Stone call on to him, Asad, such a beautiful name. Lifting my face, I saw him coming towards me, I panicked for a little until I realized the last empty seat is by my right. Oh, mother luna. How do I listen when I can hear his warm breath next to me? As he made his way to sit... “It seems someone had a crush” Aliana leaned Towards me whispering and Giving me a nudge. She and Reena start to giggle. “Stop it guys,” I said trying to hide the flush of blood on my face. I estimated for a while and then I opened my mouth to say... “it’s him”, I whispered. Now my friends are looking at me hoping I’ll say more. “Him who?” They both reply in uniform. “HIM!” I repeated motioning at the now seated Asad. “Morocco” I whispered covering the other side of my face to hide my excitement. “No wayyy!” Aliana and Reena squealed causing the rest of the class to turn their attention to us. I covered my face in palms as though it would make me invisible. I hope he doesn't think I'm a freak Athena, ‘too late Yara, too late’.
