Chapter Seventeen

BAILEY

The aching of my body hits me as I begin to wake and open my eyes. I feel as though my body has been through a lot. Like a long walk or a hard workout however that's not the case. No. My body feels sore because I had s*x with a werewolf.

I stretch it out and soon regret it. My muscles resist and it causes me to wince which earns laughter from Nero.

"What's so funny?" I turn onto my side to look over at Nero who lays gloriously naked beside me.

Nero reaches over and places his hand on my bare hip. "After you first transition into your wolf, your body will become stronger. You'll me more connected with your wolf as a human." Nero then leans closer and kisses me on my shoulder. It causes tingles to spread all over me. "You'll be less tired, which means you will have more energy for other things."

I laugh when Nero kisses my neck. "Oh really?" He nods, pressing his growing erection against me. His hands wondering across my n*****s. I want to take things further, I really do but not only do I feel a little sensitive, I have to get ready for work. "I have to shower." Nero begins to lick my n*****s and my eyes close in delight.

"You don't have to work." His voice comes out in a growl. "You can stay here, in bed with me."

As much as I would love that, I can't. I won't let me discovering that I'm a werewolf, fated to be with the Alpha, change my life. I love my job and I am meant to be in today, so I will go to work today.

"Nero." As soon as I speak, Nero stops and looks up at me. It must have been the tone of voice I used because he nods.

"You sure you're ready to go about normal life so soon?"

"Normal life." I laugh. "My life will never be normal again, but I understand what you're saying. It's a lot to take in and wrap my head around but that's why I need to go to work, instead of me hanging around here letting my thoughts and fears run wild."

Nero wraps an arm around me. "What are you fearing?"

"Changing into my wolf form." I admit. "Is it going to hurt?"

Nero looks away and I know in that instant that it will but he doesn't want to tell me the truth. "A little."

"Liar."

He sighs loudly. "Ok, it will hurt but not as much as you're thinking. It's more of an uncomfortable pain and the more you transition the less it hurts."

"When will it happen?" I want to know this most of all. As much as I am concerned about the pain, I am excited to let my wolf be free and experience being a true werewolf.

Nero shrugs. "I don't know, that's all up to you and your wolf. Before, you was experiencing pain because your wolf was trying to let herself be known and set free. She seems calmer now that you know and that we're together." He flashes me a wicked smile and I giggle. "I suppose now it's a waiting game."

"Ok." I nod and then get out of the bed, heading for the shower.

"I still can't believe you're going into work." Nero shakes his head, laughing.

"Why?" I look over my shoulder, Nero is taking in the sight of my naked body. I'm no longer self conscious around him. The way he treated me last night and paid special attention to every single inch of my body, there's no doubt he doesn't find me attractive. I can say for sure that he loves my curves. "Am I still a prisoner?"

Nero's eyebrows raise. "Oh, it's like that is it?"

As soon as he jumps for the bed I make a run towards the connected bathroom but he catches me before I get close. Nero captures me in a kiss and backs me up against the cool wall and I loose all sense of things. Nero laughs, picking me up and I wrap my legs around him.

"I thought you wanted a shower." He carries me towards the shower and gently places me down.

Nero reaches behind me and switches on the shower, covering the both of us in warm water. He takes over, washing my body for me and then eventually grabs the shampoo bottle, massaging the suds into my scalp.

"Feel good?" Nero chuckles a little. "You're moaning as much as you did last night."

He digs his fingers into my head a little more and my eyes roll back. "Amazing."

"You know, I never wanted to bring you here like that." Nero adds as he rinses my hair. "I mean, I did have that plan in mind but I didn't want to have to carry it out. I didn't want you to feel scared or feel trapped. You can go to work, it doesn't matter. You're free to go anywhere you want to. I was just shocked that after everything you learned about yourself, how quickly you've come around to it."

My heart goes out to him. He feels bad and I really don't want him to. I turn to face him and offer a kiss on his lips. "I'm not mad anymore, I see that you had to do what was necessary. If you hadn't, I don't think I would have understood so clearly. I needed to see where you live and your community."

Nero captures my face in his hands, kissing me deeply but before he can take this too far, because his erection is growing, I step away and create some space between us. "Thank you for helping Nero, but we need to get out of here."

Nero steps closer and I hold my hand out to his chest.

"Come on." Nero winks. "Just five minutes?"

"No!" I laugh, pushing him out of the shower. "We can get as freaky as you want tonight because right now I have to go."

"I'll hold you to that." He slaps my arse as I wrap myself in a towel.

"Oh, I know you will." I squeeze his hard c**k as I pass him by.

"You don't play fair." He frowns, which makes me laugh even more.
