NERO
I've been worried about the day I would have to tell Bailey that she's truly a werewolf and, for a minute, I thought I would have to transform right in front of her just to prove myself was, but eventually, she believed me. Admitting to our shared dreams is what got her to believe, I think. Seeing her share her mind with her wolf was f*****g amazing. It was her first time seeing her other self and I could feel how happy her she wolf was. In order to do that, she had to be completely relaxed and let my wolf guide her and she did. Without being conscious of it, she did. Bailey let her guard down and took the first step to connecting with her wolf.
Now the real fun can begin.
I watch her as she sits on my bed, her eyes closed as she shares her mind with her wolf once again. Bailey has realised that this eases her headaches, and I think she's fascinated by it all. I smile to myself while I can because Bailey looks cute as hell.
"You're putting me off." Bailey smiles, her eyes still firmly closed.
"How?" I laugh.
"You're smiling at me and we're trying to concentrate."
"As in you and your wolf?" I ask.
Her eyes snap open and she sighs. "Yes, obviously."
My laughter stops. "Wait, you knew I was smiling at you while your eyes were closed!"
Bailey grins proudly. "My wolf told me."
I shake my head in disbelief, she's new to all this but is already looking through her wolf's eyes and communicating with her.
"So, what are fated mates?" Bailey asks, practically bouncing in excitement.
"It's two werewolves who are destined to be together," I answer.
"As in, made for each other?" She asks.
"Yeah, but in our world, it's more than that."
"That's why we dreamt of each other, even as kids?" She doesn't sound as excited now. "So, I'm only meant to be with you?" She wonders and I'm not feeling too good with the frown that appears on her face. "I never stood a chance with anyone else? That's why my past relationships were s**t, it was all a waste of time?"
I don't know what to say, but I sure as s**t don't like the thought of Bailey being with anyone else.
"The thought of being my fate doesn't seem appealing to you anymore?" I stand from the bed. "Being a wolf isn't all sparkly and new?"
"Wait, Nero what are you talking about?" Bailey stands with me. "I'm just annoyed that it was time wasted when I could have already been here." She then places her hands on her hips. "And that wasn't my fault." Ah s**t, I've pissed her off. "And I still haven't forgiven you for tricking me into dinner and sneaking me over to your house to lock me away in your room!" She yells. "Who does that?"
"A werewolf who is afraid that his mates she Wolf, is going to kill her because she has no idea she wants to be set free!"
As soon as I'm done shouting, I regret it. Bailey looks angry. "I want my own room."
"We need to be together."
But she shakes her head. "I'm sure your house has another bedroom, I'll be sleeping there."
We stare each other down. "I bought you here so I could keep you close."
"And I'll still be close sleeping in another room, I'm not about to share a bed with a werewolf who kidnapped me."
"Bailey," I begin to argue but she cuts me off.
"Archer!" She yells, shocking the hell out of me and I watch in utter amazement as my Beta enters the bedroom. His eyes dart to me, probably wondering what's happening, just as I am. "I am your Alpha female, right?"
"Yes." Archer nods.
"So, can you tell me if there's any other bedrooms in this place?" She asks, not looking back to me.
"Yes, there are three other bedrooms." Archer answers without a second to think about it.
"Great!" Bailey smiles. "Can you show me to one of them please?"
Archer quickly glances at me, before flashing a smile at Bailey and nodding. "Follow me."
Archer walks past me and my wolf growls in annoyance. He should be following her orders, Bailey is rightfully his Alpha but it's at my expense. I also didn't appreciate the smile he gave her. Bailey walks pass me, following Archer to another bedroom. She winks at me as she walks by. My c**k twinges slightly. This is wolf play. Wolf courtships are known to be challenging and full of power battles, especially between Alpha wolves.
As pissed as I am right now, I'm also turned on and by the way Bailey smiles as she exits the room, so is she.
BAILEY
I can't believe what just happened.
I wasn't even aware what I was doing, my wolf had an idea and I went along with it. Now she's feeling pleased with herself and I have to agree, that was fun.
What I am confused about is how playful I'm feeling right now and how much I'm tingling down below. I'm excited and I'm enjoying it.
I'm never usually this confident with me, but since Nero showed me my wolf and I have learnt what I now am, it's put a little spring in my step. I'm a f*****g werewolf!
It feels like it's all clicked into place, I've never fit it and as soon as I came here things felt different. I'm meant to be here, I knew that from the start but now I truly know why. I'm here to be with Nero. I can't complain, he's a very sexy and beefy man. I've won in life.
There was a moment where I was a little annoyed that I have no choice over what happens in life. It seems like I was apparently just coasting before I came here. I wish that my parents were still here, Nero said that I would have grown up in a community. I would have been surrounded by werewolves just like me and I would have learned their ways as I grew. Instead, I have to learn it all before my wolf kills me.
Archer leads me down the hall, and my eyes wander, trying to get a look of Nero's house. I can't see much of it in the hall though, so I'm looking forward for a tour. Right now I just want some space between me and Nero. My fated mate.
"Do you have a mate, Archer?" I ask and he turns to me with wide eyes.
"No." He shakes his head.
"Oh, I'm sorry." I feel bad for asking.
"Don't be." Archer laughs. "I might not have found my mate yet, but I do have plenty of play mates."
"Wish I never asked." My cheeks blush from embarrassment, but then a thought comes to mind. "Wait, does Nero have play mates too?"
Archer comes to a stop outside a door and turns to me with a smirk. "I can't tell you about my Alpha."
"I'm you Alpha too, right?"
"Yes. " He nods. "But he's also my best friend and I can't tell you that he did have play mates, up until he knew you were coming to town."
My heart drops. "And I bet some of those play mates are in this community, aren't they?"
Archer pretends to wince. "Just a few."
Perfect. Just f*****g perfect.
"Show me my room."
"Okay." Archer tries to hold back his smile, but I see through him. "I don't need locking up this time." I grumble, stepping inside my new room and closing the door behind me, hoping Archer gets the hint and leaves me alone.
