Meeting Mr. Perrie Cortez

From what I had remembered I was being buried by Kenneth and Owen but when I started to opened my eyes and observed my sorroundings I wasn't there anymore. When I tried to moved my body I felt a pricking feeling near my shoulder and when I checked it my left one was covered by a bandage.

When I recalled it Owen was the one who shoot an arrow to me but I was so lucky enough that it didn't landed in my heart. Those freak I swear I'll kill them all. But wait who saved me and why I was here inside the big room like it was like a room for princess. The colour of the wall was all off-white and the ceiling was different, in every corner there was a hole like it was built as planned and at the center was a very big chandelier with full of silver stones.

What I noticed was the painting above my bed. It looked like a man- eating a man , like cannibals in a movie. The girl was holding a heart of a human and her mouth was full of blood and she's wearing a black mask while there were many people below her feet, tried to imagine like Mama Mary floating above the clouds with angels under her feet.

When I was about to opened the window a man in his early fifties came inside.

He looked like Johhney Deep with a dreadlocks hair but he was a little fat and he's wearing a big reading glass.

" You're awake Helena",he said. How did he knew my name. " Hmmm yeah but who are you and how you know me?", I asked him.

He walked closer and he was the one who opened the window for me. He smiled at me.

" Come outside join me for breakfast",he told me and I nodded.

I'm not yet recovered but I could walked on my own.

When I was finally out from that room I was amazed on what I saw especially the mini castle near the swimming pool. It was very cute and there was a passage too. I saw the man waiting for me beside the pool. He decided to set up our breakfast outdoor.

" Come here let's eat",he said.

I sat down to the empty chair beside him. I roamed my eyes around the outside view and I saw no one except this middle aged man.

" Do you live alone?",I asked him while I took a fork to served the hotdog on my plate.

His eyes seemed familiar maybe I saw this eyes before. I paused a little and I asked him again another question.

" Do you have family?",I said and my body froze instantly when a boy same my age appeared from nowhere and I knew him.

He was Kai.

" Kai ? Why ? What are you doing here?", I asked him like this couldn't be happening.

Kai sat on an empty chair between us as if he lived here.

" Actually my dad saved you Helena,my cousin", he said and I was surprised to everything I just heard.

" What? Cousin? How?",I asked them like it's a no joke for me.

The man looked calm as if he knew something about my life.

" Helena I've been watching you since your parents died and I sent my only son Kai to protect you",he told me.

I covered my head with my palm.

" Wait ! Wait let me think first. You mean you knew they took me and Kai? Why you ran away then? Kenneth r***d me!", my voice suddenly changed to a loud tone and my eyes started to burn as if it's like a lava, my tears were ready to explode.

I sniffed and wiped my tears after.

" Helena I'm so sorry I had to ran away to tell dad where are we. I called him that's why he saved you from that muddy below the ground hell grave", Kai explained to me what happened.

I tried to catch-up my breathing because my heart felt heavy this time.

" Okay so can I ask something?", I told them. " Uncle......",I remembered he never introduced me himself. " I'm your Uncle Perrie Cortez", he answered.

I felt relieved. " Ahm Uncle Perrie would you tell me about the family secrets?",I asked him.

When my parents died I ran away so they didn't had the chance to tell me.

He cleared his throat and I saw that Kai's expression changed. He smirked and grinned like not he used to be. He looked gentle and kind to what I knew him.

" Helena welcome to Cannibalism family!",he said it proudly without hesitation.

I was shocked again. Another revelation.

" Cannibal what? Do we eat humans? Wait it's not true!",I protested. " Helena, it's the truth but we're not cannibals who ate humans but we took human for fun! I'll show you what was our family business had", Kai told me. " They hurt you and almost killed you so time for revenge!", He added.

After our breakfast I told them that I'll need some more rest before I went back to work tomorrow. I couldn't sleep well to what I discovered about my family secrets and having a new family again. And what bothered me the most was Uncle Perrie told me about our boss connection with them. They knew Miss Merlyn Black very well and she knew about me ever since. I think she knew everything that happened to me.

Knowing about my new family was a little harsh to me. I'm not sure about them and I wanted to know more about their motive for saving me. If dad and mom were still alive, maybe they could answer all my questions but as of now, I'll stick to my plan, getting my revenge to everyone who hurt and ruined me.

A devilish smile came into my face as I slide the curtains of my window inside my room.
