There were no days where everything seemed calm and laid-back. Every single day counts for those who wanted to win their battles.
“Are we all good?” Amaron asked his siblings.
“I feel sorry for Cart’s instruments,” Calyx said while watching the pile of broken pieces of the instrument they brought home when the shooting incident happened.
“Dad already made us an excuse for that. We were attacked, it’s not like we planned it,” Baron told him.
Calyx let out another sigh. Limo was beside him staring blankly at the mess he never knew would happen. He saw the arrows Devanna carefully made in which state is bad, cannot be saved. He took the blade part and put it inside his pocket.
“How’s your wound?” Devanna suddenly asked him.
“Already healed,” Limo replied.
“Good. We’ll start another set of training when we get there. I’ve changed your routines since you showed some improvements especially on close combat.” Devanna took a piece of paper from her bag and handed it to him.
“Keep that in mind. I won’t tolerate tardiness,” she said before she left him.
Devanna woke up from the noise coming from the outside. She blinked her eyes twice before glancing at the clock.
“Sh*t, I woke up this late already?” she asked herself.
She hurriedly went to take a shower and went down stairs after fixing herself.
“Morning,” she greeted everyone when she saw them having a nice talk at the living room.
“It seems like someone had a nice sleep,” Calyx told her.
“Never thought that she could be late sometimes. This is new to me,” Amaron talked like she wasn’t there.
“I know. She was always so strict with her own schedule but now I don't know anymore," Calyx added.
Devanna gave them a look.
“Can’t someone have a break and be late?” she asked her brother.
“I didn’t say anything,” Baron said.
“Where’s Limo?” she asked them.
“Outside, practicing,” Calyx said.

Limo was doing his push-ups when Devanna saw him. He's been sweating a lot that he had to took his shirt off and go on with his training. His hair was also wet from all the sweat coming from his head.
"Don't be too hard on your self. Take it easy. It's just training," Devanna told him when she felt like he's pushing himself harder than the usual.
Limo sat on the cold ground, having his head staring down while his arms rested above his knees. He was panting a lot and his sweat shimmered as it struck by the light coming from the sun.
"You're up early?" Devanna asked him just to break the silence.
"Yeah," he said pulling the towel beside him and wiped anything he felt unnecessary.
"Hey! I think I have time to spare today, you want to train with me Limo?" they heard Amaron shouting from the back door.
"What? I thought we--"
Baron grabbed Calyx back inside their house when he ran towards Amaron.
"Amaron you traitor!" he shouted.
Amaron ran towards in their direction. His smile told them he had something on his sleeves.
"You're ditching Calyx now?" Devanna asked him.
"Later, Devy. I need to talk to Limo," he said.
Limo looked at him, confused. He put on his shirt and fix himself before asking Amaron what it was.
"What is it?"
"Can you play instruments? I heard from Baron skills from previous Primos can be passed down, and the last two previous Primos are musician before they became Primos," he said.
Limo was taken aback from that information.
"I don't know. I'm not good at playing instruments before and I doubt I can do it," Limo told him.
"I'll supervise your combat training if you'll grant my request." Amaron was too serious that Limo can't turned him down.
"I guess we'll have to see if it works," he said.
"Is that for your first quest for the selection?" Devanna asked her brother.
"What else could it be," Amaron smiled.

They heard a car coming in their direction. Limo was busy doing his chores at the kitchen while the Devanna and Baron were waiting for him to serve their lunch.
They heard the engine went off followed by a knock not too long after.
"I'll open it," Baron told no one.
It was a miracle enough that they kept him out of the kitchen for once, but growing up as in-charge of the house with three problematic children and a strict father, his strong sense of responsibility is flowing out like a water in a dam.
He was greeted with Amaron carrying a bag of guitar and Calyx holding drum sticks with his eyes closed and head banging in the air imagining himself out of a rock concert.
Amaron shrugged his shoulder and went inside the house. Baron just left the door open and left Calyx outside swimming on his own theatrical creation.
"So, what you got there?" Devanna asked her brother while she had her phone over her hands.
"I got a guitar, a keyboard, drums and a guitar for babies," he said.
"A guitar for babies? Did Uncle Cart got his girlfriend preganant?" Devanna asked.
"I don't know and it got only four strings on it, is it broken?" Amaron asked back while showing it to his sister and studying it's corners.
Devanna stared at her brother and it amazed her how can this man who grew up with muscles and skills can't even identify that small guitar he was talking about.
"You got a ukelele?" Limo asked on the doorway to the kitchen holding a spatula.
"A what?" Amaron stopped.
"That, your holding. It's a Ukelele," Limo told him.
"Yeah." Amaron glanced at his sister who was holding her laugh.
"Don't do it, Dev," he warned her.
"He thought it was a broken guitar for babies," Devanna announced.
Limo folded his lips and silently went back to the kitchen, afraid he might get toss outside for laughing and become homeless.
"Luckily, we only got the same face," Baron told him while holding an empty glass jar from his lab room.
Calyx entered the house while he still had the drum sticks striking in the air.
"Move the drums inside Calyx," Amaron ordered.
"Move, immediately."

Baron set up the table while Limo started to serve his dish. The others were busy cleaning the instruments they got from Cart's apartment.
"We're eating, guys. Lunch is ready!" Baron called them.
They started to sit on their chairs and Baron led the prayer. It was just an ordinary lunch meal for them before something happened out of the ordinary.
"Did you smell that?" Limo asked them.
"Your dish smells great, Limo. hope it will exceed my expectation," Calyx told him.
"No, not that," Limo said.
Everyone got quiet and stopped from eating. Suddenly, they heard the window crashed and a series of gunshots fired outside. Everyone dropped to the floor and covered their head.
"Did you took a picture of a daughter of a gang leader again, Calyx?" Baron asked his brother.
"I didn't this time. I just got my eyes on our mother nature this time,"' Calyx answered.
"And recently got captured by Limo's golden eyes," he added.
"Who the hell are they?" Amaron asked.
"I thought we're only dealing demons?" Limo asked them.
"Human, are more evil than demons, Limo," Baron told him.
"We should move to the basement," Amaron shouted in between those loud firings.
They slowly crawled up until they reached the door that would lead them to the basement.
"Ack!" Limo winced.
"Limo!" Devanna called.
"I'm fine, move faster," he said.
"You're bleeding,"' Calyx pointed out Limo's shoulder.
"Move quickly," Baron told them.
They went down the basement as fast as they could. Baron immediately took out his emergency kit from one corner and aided Limo.
"I don't know how fast your recovery rate as of your condition these days but all I know is that Primo's can heal themselves alone," Baron told them.
"Then why are you aiding my wounds?" Limo asked him.
"To help you recover faster. You just gain your Primo's form not a long while ago but you still didn't get your tails yet. You are still weak and we can't afford to lose you right now," Devanna answered on her brother's stead.
The gunshots can still be heard even on the basement and all they could do is to wait. They got attacked surprisingly and their enemy might want to eliminate them quickly.
"Do you have any idea who these f*ckers are?" Amaron asked them.
"The only thing I can come up in mind is either the deities taking my life for disturbing their territories for my photographs or the other Clans eliminating us first for Runette's selection," Calyx said.
Everyone stared at each other making a silent conversation through their eyes. They didn't have a single clue on how a selection is done. They didn't have a seminar for it. No one warned them.

"Answer your phone, Amaron." Vimeon walked as fast and as graceful as he could with his broad shoulders shouting for authority. He was on his way out of his office if Amaron couldn't pick his phone on the 5th call attempts. He dialed his son's phone number again but had no luck of anyone answering it. Neither of them can answer their own phones.
"F*ck," he cursed as he went inside his car.
