SHOWER GEL

1210 Words
Limo found Devanna first. His instinct told him to follow the scent earlier even though he had doubts. He found her, took her last arrow, and pinned a Shadow on a tree. His eyes glowed, and something inside him took over. His body moved on its own, jumped over an old log blocking his way, and scratched a Shadow that almost attacked Devanna from behind. He took the blades he had in his pocket and threw them over Devanna. She caught it and used it to her defense. Limo continued to fight over the remaining Shadows. His body felt light, and his hands are sharp. His legs are stronger than they usually were. He pinned the last Shadow, and Devanna helped him purified it when the others arrived. They saw the situation was settled and found Devanna uninjured. “God! Limo ran so fast we can only follow his lead,” Calyx was out of breath and had his hands over his knees. “I guess Amaron got a competitor now,” Baron said, arriving late. Amaron stared at his sister and Limo, who looked a lot different from what they were running. “She got herself a protector,” Amaron said. “She’s a protector herself,” Calyx smirked. “Limo?” Devanna called him, and the others ran towards them. “He fainted,” Devanna told them. -0-0-0- Baron mended Devanna’s small cuts. They let Limo lie on the sofa in the living room. His clothes are torn, and his shoes are wrecked. Amaron crossed her arms while staring at the unconscious guy. Calyx went down from the staircase holding a pair of new clothes he took from Limo’s wardrobe. “It was the first time I’ve seen him in that form,” Amaron said. “It was the first time for all of us,” Baron seconded. “Did you creeped out when you saw him?” Amaron asked Devanna. “No,” she replied. “Did you?” she asked. “I… was amazed,” Amaron said. “There are a lot of things more surprising than that,” Baron told them as he wrapped up his things. “We should find the Book Of Historia before Limo could surprise us when he can learn how to do magic tricks,” he continued. “Does Primos can do magic tricks?” Calyx asked him. Baron stared at him. Calyx looked so clueless he didn’t even get the joke. “I should prepare dinner,” Baron said. “Tell me, can he do magic tricks?” Calyx asked Devanna, and she just shrugged her shoulder before she went up to her room. -0-0-0- The stars shine brightly across the dark skies. Devanna sat on the rug placed at the veranda of her room. She had a bottle of soda with her to have something to accompany her. The wind brushed her hair and coldly touched her skin. She felt frozen, but someone wrapped her shoulder with a blanket to make her warm. She looked around and saw a pair of bright golden eyes glowing underneath the moonlight. It was mesmerizing to see it, making her heart beats unusually. She immediately looked away and moved a bit to the side. It was such a bad thing if she wouldn’t invite him for a seat. “Thank you,” she heard Limo said while he sat beside her. “I should be thanking you. Thank you for backing me up,” she said without looking at him. Yet, she felt sorry at the same time. Now that she had Limo accepted Primo’s gift, she can’t even look him in the eyes for being thankful. “You know, I am forever indebted to you. I don’t know how much I could thank you for agreeing to this situation. I was selfish for forcing you into this setup. If I ever hurt you in any way in the future, please know that it’s not really my intention,” Devanna told him. Limo smiled. “I know,” he said. Devanna looked in his way. “I know how grateful you are. I can feel it,” Limo said while he still had his smile on his face. There it was again. She felt how unusual it was. Everything about him is unusually making her feel unwell. “Stop… smiling like that, and please don’t call me Devy,” she said while looking away. “Why? Everyone calls you that,” he asked. “One thing I hate about everyone,” she said. “It’s cute.” She made a face hearing something so honest and pure-hearted from a guy who had a pair of innocent golden eyes. “Do a thousand-meter lap, 500 push-ups, a thousand warm-up shots, and fix the leak in the attic before lunchtime,” Devanna asked him before standing up to get ready for bed. “And please prepare me a meal for lunch, a dish with veggies,” she smiled before heading to her room. -0-0-0- Amaron stared at the piece of paper he got from that Ronan guy. He was sitting in his room thinking about what was written on it. “Prepare for a battle with a rose as your weapon?” Calyx read it out loud. Amaron looked around and saw his brother’s head popping from the door. “What do you want?” Amaron asked him. “Can I have some of your shower gel? It smells really nice,” Calyx said. “And freshly bought from the store, too.” Calyx smiled as wide as he could. Amaron rolled his eyes. He took the paper from the floor and stood up to fetch the shower gel Calyx was talking about. “Why the hell are you walking around naked?” Amaron heard Baron asking someone at the door. He got out of his shower room and saw Calyx trying to calm Baron down. “That’s why he only showed me his head.” Amaron laughed while handing Calyx the shower gel. “Thanks, bro,” Calyx said. “Go to your room immediately,” Baron told Calyx. “Why? I’m flexing my sexiness in this house almost full of old horses,” he kid. They can see how Baron’s face turned to something unimaginable, and they knew he’s almost pissed. “Devy will see how perverted you are,” Amaron. “I don’t mind. I’ve been with you all my life. Just don’t drag Limo with your pervertedness,” Devanna told them before she entered her room. Baron looked at Calyx with a warning while Calyx let out an awkward laugh. “Oh, I think I have an idea with what was on the paper. It is about your first task, isn’t it?” Calyx asked Amaron. “What about it?” he asked. Calyx smiled. “You know, sometimes a battle doesn’t always about fighting skills,” he said with such a meaningful look.
