Camilla felt the fear she had felt when she saw Ava sprawled on the floor turn to a mix of anger and hatred for the Davenport family.
She couldn't explain why, but she blamed them for the situation Ava was in. She felt the angry tears run down her face in a straight line leaving a mark where they touched, ruining the makeup she had taken so much time to do earlier that day.
She ran to Ava as fast as her heels would let her, bent over her, putting her hand to her nose checking for any sign of air. Not getting what she wanted she placed her hand on the delicate skin of Ava's neck checking for a pulse.
She couldn't understand why anybody would treat her doll like-bestie anyhow when she was meant to be treated like glass.
She felt the anger rise up in her again, but putting it aside, deciding it wasn't the best emotion if she wanted to keep her alive.
She contemplated cleaning the blood that was dripping from her face but decided it would be a waste of time.
She lifted Ava, hoping it would somehow stop the bleeding, but a tiny voice in her head told her she was only deceiving herself.
Why was she bleeding so much, what had she done to herself. She tried lifting Ava to a standing position but she was too heavy to lift.
Dragging her gently, she rested her body on the wall, running out of the bathroom, hoping she would meet someone that could help her carry Ava.
Camilla bumped into Logan as she stepped out of the door leading to the ladies room.
Logan, trying to play it cool, wanted to pretend he had come to the wrong door by mistake but thought against it.
He had seen her with her face lowered when she had left the main church, he had been about to drive off but decided to follow her instead, he had also seen her take breaks as she went to the direction of the toilet but she had been far from him and anytime he was about to reach where she was to ask what the problem was she would continue her stride to the toilet.
He had waited at the toilet door for her to come out and was about to go in to check if she was alright, when he had seen Camilla so he had hidden himself.
Because it would have been a really awkward thing to have to explain why he was in front of the female toilet about to go in, he was about turning back, slapping himself lightly on his, wondering what he was doing when Camilla had come out looking all worried.
“Is Ava okay?”.
Camilla stared at Logan for a while wondering what he was doing there and how he had known Ava was in there.
She stepped past him wanting to look for someone else to help her lift Ava, but turned around to answer him after second thoughts.
She knew the distance from the main building to the toilet and she wasn't sure anybody would still be around, and even if they did, the distance they needed to cover could endanger Ava's life the more.
“No, she's not”, “she's alive but I can't tell how long she would last”, she knew she was exaggerating, but that was how she felt, considering the amount of blood that was coming out from different parts of her face.
Logan felt cold shivers run down his spine
He couldn't understand why he felt so scared that Ava was in a bad state, he barely even knew her, he reasoned it was probably for the best, maybe this new obsession for her would die and he wouldn't feel bad about being obsessed with his cousin's wife.
He stood there for an extra 30 secs contemplating if he should go in or not, deciding to follow Camilla since he had been the one to ask if Ava was okay.
Lifting Ava from the position she was in was the easiest thing for Logan as he picked her up effortlessly, Camilla stepping aside to let him pass, walking close behind him.
She turned on her Ferrari SF90, looking at Logan, hoping that he wouldn't notice the car brand.
She kicked herself mentally for choosing this car to come for the wedding, she had hoped there wouldn't be any encounter and no one would know the car belonged to her.
Logan's mind was concentrated on the beautiful woman that was on his arm, he took his time admiring every inch of her from close up, luckily the blood had stopped rushing out and they had been able to wipe the one that had pooled on her face.
He used his hand that was placed behind her neck to feel her ears, noticing the way her skin shown and how soft they felt under his arm.
He was wondering if she really didn't have money like Ethan had claimed and if the innocent looking woman in his hands was only getting married for money.
He got to the car, placed Ava gently on the seats, and looked at Camilla offering to drive.
Camilla was so close to agreeing when she realised that he was going to notice the keys and if he hadn't noticed her car before, he was going to notice it if she allowed him walk around the car, she wished she had listened to Ava and taken her not so expensive car, but now that she thought about it, she didn't think she had any.
She was sad that she wasn't going to be the one to hold Ava and make sure that she was placed well on the drive to the hospital, she was also surprised that Logan had decided he was following them to the hospital and that he had not called his cousin to tell him about his wife's condition.
Although she could understand that they had not really been an opportunity for him to make a call.
“No thanks,” “I would rather drive”, “please just make sure Ava doesn't tilt in the wrong direction”.
She said hoping he would do that and not act like she wasn't existing.
Logan looked at Camilla with shock and fear, he couldn't think he could handle being with Ava alone at the back seat, he quickly adjusted the expression on his face hoping Camilla wouldn't read meaning to it.
“Sure”, he responded, going in to sit beside the woman that was tormenting him.
