Amelia was in the conference room receiving daily reports. This had become necessary as they looked for anything that might give them a clue as to Hadley's plans. There didn’t seem to be any strategy, it seemed his plans were one tantrum after another. Not for the first time, she wished she had Todd and Liam to discuss strategy and Heath to discuss their defences.
But mostly, she just wished Todd was here to remind her she had this and they would be fine.
“Princess”, the head groom bowed as he entered the room. “ I know I do not usually make up part of your daily report but I thought you should know. Sabrina left just after dark last night on one of the horses and has not returned. The horses are trained to return but it has not returned either”.
