Magan made his way down to the castle’s library. It had been left untouched; a thick layer of dust covered everything. The door had creaked like it hadn’t moved in 100 years and for a moment Magan thought it wouldn’t open at all. He began to peruse the titles, knowing that there would have to be ancient tomes. The promise of knowledge held in these shelves was staggering. Reading was clearly not Hadley’s style; he was far from intelligent. If only he had taken the time to read even a couple of these books the inevitable war would already be over.
