Summer Sutton quietly listened to the interview on TV, her fists clenched tightly. The people on TV were her uncle and cousin. The company being mentioned wasn't the family business passed down from her grandfather, but the one Summer's father had founded himself. Before Summer was five, her father was always in charge of the company. That year, her father passed away in a car accident, and somehow her uncle took over. The company was her father's hard work, the past achievements he had through numerous struggles. In Summer's heart, the company belongs to her father! After the founding, it was only her father who bled and sweated. Her uncle didn't contribute any funds. So why did everything go to her uncle once her father passed away? What's more, the Sutton Clan didn't improve after being taken over by him. The once glorious Sutton Clan could stand shoulder to shoulder with top large groups domestically and internationally, but now its glory has faded. She definitely needs to help her father take back the company! Yet, at the thought of reality, Summer's fighting spirit diminished quite a bit. After her father passed, it was her grandfather who took care of her. When she was fifteen, her grandfather also passed away, leaving Summer without any support. Her uncle and aunt never considered her to be part of the Sutton Family; they never took care of her. Over the years, even her tuition was earned by herself through part-time work while studying. How could someone like her have the ability to take back her father's company? Amidst her gloom, Adrian Walyon's voice sounded again, "What are you standing there for? A signpost?" Summer snapped back to reality, feeling downcast and not in the mood to bicker with him. Adrian's gaze flickered to the TV screen, listening to the interview on the news, his handsome face icy and stiff. He seemed unwilling to see the two people on the news either. With a "click," he turned off the TV, tossed the remote onto the sofa, and turned into the dining room. Summer turned her head to look at him, silently observing him. The things Adrian said last night had a huge impact on her. To suddenly have an impending husband out of nowhere — it's hard for anyone to digest that. Either way, she and Adrian didn't know each other at all; she couldn't possibly marry him. She had to find a way to leave here! Casually walking towards him in the dining room, watching him eat quietly, she tentatively said, "You know, I haven't graduated yet, I can't stay here all the time, I have to go back to class." "Your school is currently on a break." Adrian stated expressionlessly. Summer, "..." He even knows that? "I'm doing a part-time job, I need to go to work!" Summer continued finding excuses to leave. "How much is your daily wage? I'll pay you double!" Adrian continued eating leisurely, without lifting his head. Summer was once again left speechless by him. So she can only stay here until her birthday comes, and then go get a marriage certificate with him? Summer's mind whirled, trying to persuade him again, "I'm still a student, Mr. Walyon, don't you feel any guilt for marrying a budding flower?" Even though she's a college student, a college student is still a student! "A twenty-year-old budding flower?" Adrian sneered at her with disdain, "I call it cherishing!" Diligently every night, ensuring she becomes more and more radiant! "..." Summer's face turned hot, cursing under her breath, "You're really a beast!" "This Miss Sutton can feel more deeply after we get married!" Adrian lifted his face, not ashamed at all. Summer was once again at a loss for words because of him. Can she refuse to feel Summer Sutton found that whenever she spoke to Adrian Walyon, she could never get the upper hand; no matter what she said, he always had a comeback that left her speechless. Summer, feeling it was pointless, ended the conversation. "Dine!" Adrian ordered, gesturing to the spot beside him. Showing a lot of backbone before him, Summer turned her head away and refused, "I don't want to!" even though she hadn't eaten all night. Adrian's dining movements slowly stopped, his dark eyes dimmed. He lifted his face and scanned her sharply, not even giving her a moment to react, he pulled her over. Adrian didn't waste words with her, pressing her to sit on his lap, he held a glass of milk and forcefully started feeding her, "Drink it!" Summer pressed her lips tight and refused to cooperate. Adrian was never one to dawdle in doing things. With just one round of their confrontation, Summer became afraid of him. "I can do it myself!" She suddenly pushed him away and, with her head down, grabbed the knife and fork and started eating. Afterwards, she was very obedient; whatever Adrian pushed in front of her, she ate it all obediently. Actually, being stubborn with him over such things was pointless, in the end, it was her stomach that suffered. Anyway, only by being full would she have the energy to continue facing off with him. Summer ate quickly, wolfing down her food without any care for her image, just wanting to finish quickly and leave the table sooner. Adrian quietly watched her eat. His gaze lingered on her face a bit long; Summer didn't know what he was looking at until his hand suddenly reached for her. Summer instinctively leaned back, trying to avoid him, but his arm hooked around her waist. Pressing her against him, his hold was firm and assertive. "What, what do you want to do?" Afraid he might do something unexpected, Summer's heart began to race. Summer accidentally lost focus for a moment. Summer was completely stiff, not quite understanding his recent actions. He actually helped her with such a thing! "I don't have women's things here, after eating, I'll take you out to choose some." Adrian didn't explain, simply said it lightly. At the mention of going out, Summer's spirits immediately lifted. "Okay!" She stopped her dining, readily agreeing, her voice seemed to carry a hint of excitement. She had been worried about finding a way to leave, going out was good; being outside made it easier to escape. Adrian squinted his eyes, seeing through her thoughts at a glance. "Miss Sutton, regarding last night's words, I think I should correct them." Putting down the dining knife, Adrian solemnly warned, "If I discover you trying to escape, for every attempt, when you come back, we'll stay in the room for a day!" His words were an escalation from last night; last night, it was if she moved a meter away from the villa, they would be confined for an hour, but this time it was directly upgraded to a whole day.
