Chapter 11

MITSUKI POV

She yelp as she landed on someone. She face planted on his chest as the person under her cushioned her fall.

"Ouch!" She groaned while holding on to her nose.

"What the--?!"

She heard him shout.

She caught a glimpse of his eyes that carried a mixture of shock and barely contained anger.

She opened her eyes wide and brazenly stared at him from her mask. She wasn't thinking when she opened the teleportation portal. She just thought of the safest place for her to be in. She looked around from left to right and recognized that she was in her uncle's office.

"Who are you? Tell me what the hell are you doing in the alpha's office? Are you a spy? You don't smell like a wolf or a human? What are you? Answer me!" He asks angrily as he berates her with questions.

She struggled and winced at the firm grip he has of her arm while he yanks it as she try to stand up and distance herself from him. "I'm calling my men... You are staying here for questioning!" He yells at her.

"Wait! Wait! Aston it's me Zuki, you're cousin!" She told him as she tried to pull the mask covering her face with some difficulty because of the firm hold he had on her and showing her face to him.

"It's me. Look Zuki! It's Zuki" She yells at him repeatedly.

Shit! He doesn't recognize me. His cold gaze fixed on her face, his eyes narrowed, he got a vertical wrinkle between his eyebrows. His lips pursed slightly. Staring and studying her face digging in his memory, trying to remember how she looked like.

"How did you learn about Zuki? Are you a spy? Who do you work for? Answer me?!" He commanded using his alpha voice.

She grimace as his growl reached her ears.

"It's really me. Your cousin Mitsuki!" She frowned as she can see he couldn't recall her. She rattled her brain and looked for a common thread to convince him otherwise.

She blinked a couple of times, staring sightlessly at a space somewhere passed his shoulders. Remembering, She then hurriedly lift her wig and showed him the red mark on her back. Only then his face lit up in recognition as he stared at her in surprise.

"The hell! Zuki! How did you get in here? I almost broke your arm! Better yet why are you here? Does my parents know? I better tell dad he'll be very surprised to see you!" He said as he held her on both shoulders while they try to steady their feet.

"No! No! Aston listen to me... Only Marion knows I'm here. My parents doesn't even know I'm here. You can't tell them no matter what! I beg you!" She pleaded to him.

"Why? Did you ran away from home?" He meaningfully watched her as she struggled to fix her clothes and the wig that she hastily flung to the side.

"Well... Technically it's not like that... You see I came here for my mate."

"You found your mate?! Who?!" Interest flickering in his eyes.

"How do I put this... Mmm... I can't really tell you right now. Because, It's a little bit too complicated. Plus I don't have the time. I'll be performing in thirty minutes from now..." She looked at him with her puppy eyes as she tried to avoid his questions.

"You? Perform? Why?" He looked at her even more puzzled.

"I'm Moon right now. You know the famous international singer!"

"Moon?! As in Moon the singer? You're freaking Moon?!"

"Haha... Sur~prise...? Yes. I'm Moon the mystery singer. It's my hidden persona. Marion asked me to perform tonight. And I need to be on stage like any minute from now."

"Wait! Tell me how the hell did you end up on top of me?"

"I was escaping from my mate... I panicked. So I sort off teleported here. You know my gift... teleportation." She somewhat explained to him.

"So you came here looking for your mate and ran away from him the moment you met him?" He shook his head in disbelief.

He then suddenly stood there motionless for a minute without blinking his eyes, staring blankly at the space between them.

Must be mind link. Mitsuki thought.

"Their looking for me. Father is going to step down and announce me as the next alpha." He informs her.

"So I heard. Congrats!" She hugged him happily.

"I'll be announcing my mate tonight. You better stay and meet her. Actually I was hiding here practicing for tonight. I don't want to see her yet. I'm scared I might take off with her and forget about accepting the alpha tittle tonight." He laughed nervously as his eyes twinkle.

"Really? You've found your mate? Like when? Who is she?"

"I've known it for a year. But, I didn't tell her yet, my pride couldn't claim her because I felt I wasn't man enough for her yet." He said as he perked his chest up.

"That is so thoughtful of you... Who is she? Atleast tell me her name." She batted her eyelashes at him.

"Princess Daniel, younger sister of Alpha King Killian, He and I are friends. He knows of my plan tonight. You know him right?" He ask knowingly.

She looked at him while she hesitantly answered him. What a small world. "Well... I do. But not personally."

You have no idea. She thought to herself.

He smiled and proudly said "I'll introduce you both. After all the king is my future brother-in-law."

Uhuh... and HE is my future husband. She thought.

"No need. Marion will introduce MOON to his majesty later tonight." She smiled at him reassuring.

He then hastily pulled her hand and pushed her towards the office door leading outside.

"Oh shoot! Father's mad, I need to hurry. Lets go!" He said while shoving her back gently forward.

She stood still and stopped him with both her arms raised up in front of his chest.

"Wait! I have a better idea. Let's go take a shortcut. I don't think i can manage to walk after that frightful fall!" She smirked at him.

He furrowed his brows and looked at her intently.

She showed her palms in front of him and raised her right arm away in the air opening a portal. She giggled as he gasp and left his mouth wide open when he saw what was on the other side...

A wide eyed Marion was staring straight back at them. She stood there frozen in a man's embrace, she and Aston saw her as she struggled to free herself from the man's kisses. His wide back was facing us. he is as huge as a bear. He must be her mate, the Beta of the pack Garren.

Garren followed where she was looking as he watched her in confusion while her face registered amazement, now, both are shocked seeing that she and Aston are on the other side of what looks like a mirror.

Marion then looked around trying to see if any one else is seeing what they are witnessing. Reaching out her arm and instinctively touched the portal, waving her hand on the other side in disbelief.

She remembered this trap room, it was a large space underneath the stage. They passed by here yesterday when she had her final stage rehearsals. She thought it would be the perfect place to teleport because nobody would be there. Well, at least that is what she thought, before she saw her cousin and her mate Garren sharing a passionate kiss and warm embrace.

"Wow! You can do this?" Aston ask astonished.

She winked and said "Yup! And more my dear cousin!"

"I thought you had the same gift as your father?"

Mitsuki smiled and shrugged at him. She then tugs him while she pulls his hand guiding him inside the portal onto the other side.

"Take a deep breath, you will feel a bit woozy the first time." She informed him.

Marion and Garren still shocked. Stared at them for a while. Garren was the first to recover and hugged Aston while their hands clasps in a brotherhood handshake.

When Marion recovered from her shock. She pointed a finger at her brother angrily and hissed.

"We've been mind linking you for a while now! Where have you been? You are ruining the program. Get your damn ass up that stage and get your damn alpha tittle and mate jerk ass?! I need my star performer there in 15 minutes!"

Aston chuckled and playfully raised his hands and pretended to surrender to her.

"Ok! Ok! Relax! Sheesh! I'm going... See? I'm walking... I'm moving!" As he jokingly pretended to walk away.

"Go! Before I kick your ass up there my dear brother."

"Oh by the way. Your mate has been asking around for you. Please don't make her wait. The poor girl is trying hard not to fall apart tonight... I used my gift to manipulate her in not leaving early tonight just for you!" She said caringly.

Aston smiled tenderly at her and said "I will make her the happiest she-wolf tonight."

"Go... Everyone's waiting Alpha." She smiled encouragingly to him.

Aston scooped her in his arms and gave her a tight hug. Marion blinked a couple of times and fan the tears that were forming in her eyes. Looked at her mate with a blurry vision, as if leaning for support, he was equally staring at her lovingly.

She pushed both men away and signaling them to go and leave out of the door.

"Go! You fools, the Alpha and Beta needs to go together." She looked at them over with respect as their eyes locked in a shared understanding.

Garren gave her cousin a deep long and hard kiss before leaving, making her force the breath out from her lungs.

Garren looked at her direction. Their eyes met, but she broke it off.

He looked at her cousin questioning. But, Marion stared at him apologetically and whispered. "I'll explain everything later." Her mate nodded in understanding.

Everyone stood there in an awkward silence for a moment until they heard Marion shout.

"Go!" She playfully yells at her brother and her mate. Shoving both their backs out the door.

Both men shrugged their shoulders and started walking away, leaving them.

She saw how quickly her cousin's expression changed as she narrowed her eyes and looked at her in a skeptical way.

"She is going to be hysterical. Oh God! Here we go..." She thought as she winced and screwed her eyes shut just as she started yelling at her in a shrieky voice.

"And YOU... Where have you been?! Do you have any idea how worried I was? You were not in your room! I sent people there to escort you here at the backstage. But, not a single soul can be found in there. Lana is also missing! I couldn't find her too. I was worried you ran away and left me hanging here, when you are the big highlight in tonight's program! The twins are out there, yes. But, those two are also useless... All I heard them say was you are fine and will show up soon. How the hell are they trusted by your father to guard you when they couldn't tell me where you are because they are nowhere even near you?!" She looked like a tiger who is about to eat a bunny alive. Her face is all flushed, nose flaring and hands shaking.

I bit my lips in guilt and hid my face with my hands. She really is furious...

"I'm really so~ so~ sorry. Ok. I admit it, it was my fault I should have told you... But, Shiro- this naughty wolf felt Killian's presence there, and she wanted to see him. She threatened me, I swear! I had no choice but to leave or she will just jump out and show up in front of our mate. What would you have done if you were in my situation? Hmn...? Please forgive me. Please..." She told her as she did her best to batt her eyelashes in front of her while her hands are poised in a pleading position.

"Fine! I forgive you. I was going almost hysterical. If it wasn't for Garren calming me down. I would have alerted every security you know..." She said as she frowned-recalling the incident.

"What happened? Why are you with Aston? And what is that portal type of thing that you came out of? I'm pretty sure that wasn't Aston's doing."

"Well, I was hiding at this make shift room type of thing near the VIP's tables. I swear, I was just going to look at him to stop Shiro from pestering me. And then suddenly, bam! Killian was staring right back at me, like eye to eye. I panicked and opened a teleportation portal. Aston was there on the other side. I landed on him, he didn't recognized me at first. He was going to lock me up thinking I was a spy- well not that I can't escape you know... but, then again I panicked and I told him the truth. So that's how we ended up here together..." She informed her in rapid sentences, as she gasps for air.

She steadily stared at her with one brow raised.

"So you are telling me. That there are more people who knows that you are here? What happened to- do not tell your family. Huh? Aston doesn't know how to lie! He can never be trusted with a secret. I can't used my mind manipulation at him, it doesn't work on him Zuki!"

"Well, He said he wouldn't tell your parents." She said shrugging her shoulders.

"Uh yeah! Our parents... Do you have any idea what you have done? Huh?"

"Well no... I trust him to keep it a secret that I'm here."

Marion looked at her in confusion as she rubbed her hands together and paced nervously back and forth in front of her.

"That's not it... Remember when you arrived and they where called by Killian at the palace?"

"Yes..."

"Well... News flash cousin?! He is looking for you, He found out you were the same girl five years ago. There is a rumor going on that he is cursed and he believes you are the cure to that. So that is why he is looking for you. Killian asked father to help him convince Alpha Lord Gojo to make you his chosen mate- poor Alpha King doesn't even have the slightest idea that you are his mate! But, since you said you don't want to be his mate, now that he knows that you are here, he will force you and Aston who doesn't know how to lie, will and I am a hundred percent positive that he will tell him where you are! Which brings us now, to the present situation that you are about to grace that stage and perform in fifteen minutes and if the almighty Killian found out that you are also Moon. He will snatch you off that stage and all of my hard work will be wasted. I will be the laughing stock of the whole wolf community. Because an international singer that was supposed to perform tonight walked out?! Oh Goddess! I think I'm going to faint!" She panicked as she saw her cousin swaying while holding her head.

"I'm not walking out! Besides, I don't think Killian knows that it really is me."

"And how about Aston? Huh? How are we going to convince him not to tell him? We can't talk to him right now. He's up there on the stage already receiving his Alpha title. I don't think he would want to part with his mate tonight- who is the only sister of your mate, in case you didn't know!"

"Yeah! Aston told me himself. We will try to figure something out. I need to mind link the three first, in case, the Alpha King snatches me." She sensed her cousin glaring at her last words.

She stared sightlessly in to the space in the room and mind link the twins and Lana.

"Souma, Ren, Lana; where are you?"

"I'm at the right side of the stage." Souma said.

"On the left." Renji replied.

"Where is Lana? I can't reach her?" She asked in disbelief.

"Last I saw her, she entered a tent near the VIP's table." Renji replied.

"Oh no! I told her to get me a drink and meet me there before I ran away from Killian. She told me not to leave that place! She must be mad that's why she blocked me!"

"You want me to go get her?" Renji asked.

"No. Don't bother now. We can't be seen together. I need to be on stage, in a few minutes. Go get her after my number."

"I will."

"Can you see Killian?" She asked curiously.

"Yes. The Alpha King is still up on the stage." Souma said.

"Are you sure he can't see you?" She asked worriedly.

"He can't."

"I doubt it." Renji also replied.

"Alpha Aston just announced his Luna, it's the king's sister." Souma said.

"Their making out on stage." Renji told me grinning.

"Listen you two. Killian already knows I'm here. He just doesn't know it yet that it's me as Moon. The scenting mask is still working. But, I can't let Killian see you three with me. He knows of your identities. I need you out of sight but, keep close, if something comes up we leave immediately. Watch out for my mate, I can't let him get close to me, atleast not yet. I'm not sure if the scenting masks will really lasts for six hours like Marion said. Understand?" She said as she glanced at her cousins who is still pacing the room.

"Yes!" The twins reply in unison.

Marion stared at her with a questioning look.

"So...?" She asked.

"I told them not to come near me. I can't let Killian see me with them. He knows their identities. I need you to give me someone else to act as my security and they better be females." She told her.

"That won't be a problem. I'll ask Garren to find replacements."

Her phone rang and she answered it hastily.

"Yes? I see... Yes. She's with me... How many more minutes? In five? No. That won't do. Give us fifteen minutes more. Her hair and make up needs retouching. Yes. Yes. No problem we are on our way!" She kept glancing her way as her face turned very serious while answering the person on the other line of the call.

"We need to go! You're on in fifteen minutes..." She said as she pressed the end button on her phone and grabbed her by the hands yanking her out of the room.

Oh Goddess! She felt her body froze as nervousness crept in. She felt a few sweat forming on her forehead and she felt her hands turned cold.

Marion looked at her intently, clasped her hands tightly and genuinely smiled as she said.

"I need Moon now Zuki! I need her to rock that stage!"

She shut her eyes tightly for awhile, before she pulled in a lung full of air. Looked at her cousin with the same intensity as her stare and nodded.

"Yes! Let's do this!"
