KILLIAN POV She's a hybrid and quite a pretty one. He observed. Not that it mattered to him. Being a new generation wolf, he is more open-minded when it comes to hybrids. He does not loathe them as other wolves do. He also knows and is acquainted with a few hybrids himself. Some of whom he is even good friends with. He matched her stare and answered her. "Yes. I am. I'm from the American Royal Delegates. I am Crown Prince Killian, son of King Riftan." He informed her. The red-headed girl's face colored once more and bowed in respect. She is quite embarrassed hearing that she is face to face with royalty. "Oh! I'm sorry your majesty, do forgive my ignorance, I am not educated well enough to recognize you." She utters her apology. "It's fine. You are too young to know me." He chuckled his response after accepting her apology. There was a minute of silence between the three of them. They could feel the awkwardness surrounding them. No one dares to say anything at the moment. He was happily surprised when he heard her say his name. "K-Killian..." She whispered. He felt a sense of satisfaction when he heard his name rolled out of her tongue. A pleasant sensation flowed through him. I sighed in relief, knowing that she was not mute and could talk. She was surprised when she said his name loud enough for him to hear. Even more embarrassed when he caught her staring back at him. He looked at her tenderly with a smile on his lips. She blushed and turned around, hiding her face on her companion's shoulder, her back towards him. MITSUKI POV Out of nowhere she heard Lana calling out to her... She hesitated for a while before mind-linking her to tell her of her whereabouts. Lana has always dotted on her, she is like an older sister she never had and has always considered her as part of her family. Although at first she would never open up to her, because of her traumatic past she always had trust issues. She turned toward the sound of her calling. She came running face flushed, not caring for her looks. She looks worried and slightly mad. She then started her enraged scolding at her while speaking in their native language. "I've been looking everywhere for you! I told you not to leave! Which part of do-not-leave-your-room do you not understand? Your mother will cut all of my hair. Do you want to see me punished?" She tried hard not to cover her ears with all of her rambling while she was holding her by the shoulders and checking if she is alright. "The twins have been looking everywhere for you. It's a good thing your brothers were not suspicious when they both excused themselves in their company! We've been searching the whole palace in low key for you. Luckily, I found you before everyone is alerted of you're lost! It will be a huge mess if that happens. I mind-linked them, informing them of our whereabouts. They will be here any minute now and after they arrive we must leave right away. I don't want to hear words about you roaming around the palace reaching your father's ears! They are really going to kill me." She goes on and on with her words while dusting invisible dirt on her clothes and fastening her obi which went a little bit loose. "Shh! Keep quiet!" She hissed at her through mind link. She needed to stop her from scolding her. She doesn't want to lose face in front of her mate. The situation is awkward enough as it is. Looking at him she could only see his amusement when Lana came over and started rambling on and on. Did he find this situation amusing? she wondered. "What?" She quipped through a mind-link while looking at her puzzled. They then heard him force a cough out to grab Lana's attention. She stopped whatever she was doing and saying. She swallowed a tiny giggle while she saw her cheeks colored up. How could she not notice this 6'4" huge statue of a man standing there, towering over them. She stared at him apologetically. Lana's surprise only lasted for a while. She managed to compose herself back to her refined elegance, much to her amusement, and apologized to him. He gladly accepted her apology while laughing at the scene in front of him. She mentally kept a picture of his face in her mind as she saw two tiny wrinkles visible on each side of his eyes that showed when his eyes narrowed as he smiled. He is indeed very handsome. She heard him say his name was Killian... his name suits him. She liked how it rolled on her tongue. It was as if his name was made for her to call. She was mentally repeating his name when she accidentally said it out loud. Her face colored, a blush evident on her cheeks wishing the ground could swallow her whole right now. He stared and just looked at her tenderly. He seemed happy when he heard her say his name. She glanced away from him, turning around and hiding her embarrassment from him... KILLIAN POV "Ask for her name..." Cassis insisted. He cleared his throat and, and as he was about to open his mouth, asked the question. A gush of strong wind blew around them... Two young good looking men jumped right behind them from the tree. Their gaze fixed at the girls in front of them before making their way to the front facing him, creating a wall between them with their bodies. They just stand there not moving - line of sight, weight transfer, stance. Each one firmly gripping a katana in their hand. Minute adjustments have been taking place since before they stood. Their features are not entirely Japanese but definitely Asian. They reminded him of those Asian boys his sister watches and listens to. But these two look more roughed up than those pretty boys. They must be around the same age as him. Both had long straight hair, around 6'2" in height. Lean, muscular, athletic built. They were emitting a strong aura, warning him, but not enough to make him cower. He snickered to himself. The first one had his white hair with a strip of black in a half bun ponytail. While the other had his jet black hair with a strip of white in a high ponytail. What is with these people and their hair color? He means he is Caucasian and he'd seen people with different hair colors, some dyed even. But, damn... Is this genetic or what? He paused and looked at them closely. They look like each other. "Twins." He smiled to himself. TWINS POV [SOUMA] Lana mind linked them, telling them that she had found the princess and gave them their exact location. He and Ren, his younger twin brother, rushed to get to the princess because she said that there was an unknown man with her. When they reached them, Lana was already talking to the man. He is very well built, they can see his brusque form from the formal suit he is wearing and sense a strong power in him. They cannot be intimidated by him. They have to protect the princess. It is their sworn duty. They stepped forward and gave him their warning. He is not fazed at all. He is determined to stay. But, they are still not clear of his intentions. They know how special the princess is. Although it is mostly those who are members of the clan, the royal family and a few trusted servants who know of her circumstances and existence. KILLIAN POV The twins starred at each other-poker-faced and looked at him intently. "They must be mind-linked," he thought to himself. His mind linked to his bodyguards to come and find him. It's irritating enough that they have been disturbed and if any s**t is about to go down he needs to be cautious of his decisions or his father will have his head! These two looked like very formidable fighters. They look quite strong. He will win, of course, but the last thing he needs is to cause trouble. His father and he are in neutral territory, a fight would cause a war. But, it wouldn't hurt to show off a little. Right? Royal blood courses through his veins after all. His pride as the future alpha king is also on the line. He is not the type of person to be messed around with. He knows how great his abilities are and he will definitely show these mutts what he is capable of. It will be worth it seeing their pretty faces damaged! They were having a stare-down and he wasn't about to back down. The three of them were standing there sizing up each other. They are watching him with cautiousness. He emitted his aura the same way they did. But, because the royal blood curses through his veins, his aura is so much stronger than theirs. They looked surprised. But, he didn't show any signs of fear. "This is gonna be fun! They are both strong. I can feel their wolf, not as big as us, but they will definitely put up a fight. We are much stronger than them, even if it's two on one. We have never fought wolves of their kind. Yet, we have never lost to anyone. This will be a good experience for us!" Cassis, his wolf, observed. The tension between the three of them is building up. As the wind starts swirling around, carrying bits of sand and rocks. The leaves on the trees were shaking furiously. They broke eye contact and looked behind him as they sensed two of his guards approaching them. His men's guards were up feeling the tension in the air. "You're majesty. What seems to be the problem?" Leon, one of his guards, asked. "Are they causing trouble?" the other asked. He mind link them. Assuring them that everything is under control. They understood what he meant but they still never let their guard down. They kept their place behind him. The red head spoke in Japanese and said something at the twins in panic. Both of them were taken aback. But, he refused to show any emotions in front of him. TWINS POV [REN] They're strategizing their possible attack when they hear Lana mind linking them. "Souma! Ren! What are you doing?! He is His Majesty the Lord's guest, Prince Killian, Son of King Riftan. Stand down both of you. You are both creating trouble for the country. When the King hears about this we will all be punished! Our heads were cut off, rolling on the ground! Especially me... Oh! Because I let her out of my sight." Lana hissed at them. Lana's warning was enough to get them to stop. They do not want to cause problems for the lord. He will punish them, especially since they let the princess wander off. They are tasked to watch over her, the lord gave them his full trust and they cannot let him be disappointed in them. They are trained to fight, they even train under the Alpha Lord himself and with the two young prince's lords, so they are very skilled at fighting any possible threat to the princess. They have watched her grow up. They know how great her abilities are and how special she is. She must be protected by them at all times. They cannot trust a foreign man, even if he is royalty, to get close to her. KILLIAN POV The twins looked behind them and were arguing internally, he could sense. They hesitated and decided to back down as he felt their aura growing weaker and calmer, though no expression registered on their faces. They lowered their heads low and bowed. Paying their respects and muttered an apology in their language. He relaxed and decreased his aura. "Should I play with them and not accept their apology? They definitely need to learn to pay more respect. I am royalty, I am above them. They are mere servants after all!" He wanted them to know that they bit more than they could chew. " And if I refuse? Why not finish you both off, since you do not know how to respect guests. Hmm...?" He scoffed to them. Anger and humiliation flashed before their eyes, bodies stiffening. Fists tightening. Teeth gritting. His porcelain doll, sensing the tension once more, observed, hesitating, mustered her courage and stepped forward. She bowed her head low in submission. Words rolled out her tongue, as her melodious voice played like music to his ears. Calming every nerve of his being. "I would like to give my sincerest apologies on behalf of my people. I hope you will not take this upon our country. They did not mean to insult you. They are just doing their job of protecting me. Do find it in your heart to forgive them...This is all a misunderstanding, your Majesty," she hummed. He listened to her apologetic speech. How could her mere voice do this to him? He is captivated by her every being. Smiled and pleased at how dignified she is for a little girl. He felt a little proud of her tiny speech. He replied to her. "Yes. This is all just a little misunderstanding. I'm sure there is no need to make this matter any bigger. We are here for diplomatic reasons anyway." He told them while dismissing the issue with a wave of his hand. "Thank you your majesty, you are very honorable and forgiving... We would like to be excused now. We wish you a pleasant day and will not waste any more of your time. May you make great memories in our country during your stay. " She bowed once again. He nodded back at her. "Thank you and goodbye your majesty." The red-headed girl says in a hurry while tagging his porcelain doll in her hand. She shyly looked at him straight in the eye once more. She was opening her mouth trying to say something to him. But, she hesitated at the last moment. Why does it feel like she is giving him something beautiful and snatching it all away in a second? Instead, she bowed her head and walked away. He saw pain in her eyes...
