Anotherwoman

My heart burned with rage, and my breath came out in pants. The f*****g b***h accepted my rejection. How can she? Why? I thought she would give me more time to reconsider and take her back. I thought Kyra would beg me to take back my rejection, but she accepted it. I growled at the thought of that, anger coursing through me, but I didn't leave my room. I was in pain. My wolf was whimpering and howling in sadness. I was feeling so many emotions, but I couldn't pinpoint any. But I knew one thing: I needed to see her, I needed to see Kyra Gunther. I couldn't lose my mate just like that. I didn't care what the Lycan King had to say; Kyra is my mate, and I will do anything to have her. I don't care if he'd ask for me to be locked up again. After I calmed down, and the painful sensation began to disappear, I took a deep breath and lay on the bed. I needed to see Kyra; she is mine, she belongs to me. ** Kyra's POV: Mate's Betrayal The atmosphere was calm when Raymond walked in, submitting to his domineering Lycan aura. His dark hair swayed at the sides. A tall and handsome king, I thought to myself. I have missed you, Raymond kissed my lips, snapping me out of my thought. He carried me bridal-style, and we went upstairs. "The peace treaty ceremony will be held at the palace tomorrow," Raymond announced. Dressed in nothing but a white towel, the tattoos and scars on his chest only seemed to add more to the dangerous air around him. His large biceps flexed as he dried his neck with a towel. And my heart rate quickened as I remembered how they wrapped around me in bed last night. Where men were handsome, this man is heartbreakingly beautiful, and as I stared into his piercing blue eyes, my core heated up with molten desire. He dressed up, leaving hurriedly for the palace. "He kissed my forehead and bade goodbye. Elena is coming over, so you both come together," he added and walked out of the room, leaving the remnants of his sandalwood scent taking over. Elena showed up at 6:00 p.m. wearing a short black sequin gown, her hair tied in a tight bun, and heavy makeup on, giving her the "baddie" vibes. I quickly dashed out of the bed for a quick shower on Elena's arrival. I came out from the bathroom and met Elena. "You have to dress nicely," she said politely, handing me three shopping bags filled with expensive clothes, shoes, and bags. "Wow, you look stunning," Elena commented as I smiled sheepishly. I put on just light makeup and my earrings, leaving my long blonde hair to sway around my waistline. I took my Louis Vuitton purse as we elegantly walked out of the house. I led the way to the hall, and all attention turned to us, making us the center of attraction. I didn't get a glimpse of Raymond when we got in. We got to the VIP table; two maids walked to our table and greeted us with respect. We ordered what we wanted. The champagne was brought to us, and our cups were filled. Two men walked to our table. Just by their scents, they were wolves of high ranks. Even though I was just an Omega, I was able to perceive scents and read auras unlike the rest of the Omegas. They walked to us, and we exchanged pleasantries. One of the men reached for my arm when "Ed Sheeran - Perfect" was played. I couldn't refuse, as it's my favorite music. We danced to the tone of the music. In a couple of minutes, I started to perceive a really strong scent. The scent was intimidating and alluring; I couldn't stop sniffing. I didn't need anyone to tell me whose scent it was. I turned around to see my mate; he walked to where I was, together with the man, and cupped my face into his hands and kissed me deeply. "My king," the men greeted Raymond with their heads bowed. Without responding to them, he shot a deadly glare at the young man, and I sensed the intense aura between them. My mate grabbed me by the waist. "I am sorry, my king," the man apologised, fear in his voice. A woman walked in, intruding upon us. She walked elegantly with confidence to Raymond and caressed his face without a flinch. "Hi, my love," she called Raymond, and my heart skipped a beat. I felt a pang of pain in my chest. Mia growled in anger. "Who is this woman?" Chill, wolf; we will find out. I looked at Raymond's face, searching for answers. My heart tightened as she kissed him deeply again on his lips. I clenched my fist, watching my mate with another woman. I cleared my throat, trying to get my mate's attention. I was confused - what the hell is going on here? I turned my gaze to Raymond for clarification, but there was nothing he could say. He only looked at me with silence, avoiding eye contact with me. My eyes widened in amusement, and my eyes widened, hearing her words shattered my heart into a million pieces. I felt like my heart had been pierced with a dagger. "Your baby wants to feel your touch," the lady said, smiling profusely as she held Raymond's hand to her tummy. Why is she so confident, and whose baby is she talking about? I looked at Raymond with tears forming at the corner of my eyes, and I pushed them away. I wasn't going to let them see my tears. Her look was deadly and malicious as a smirk formed at the corner of her lips. "My love, I need to rest," she said, rubbing her bump, her gaze fixed on me. As she caressed his face, my heart flinched at the sight of that. My gaze met Elena's, but she turned her face away, avoiding any form of eye contact with me. She knew her brother had a mate and chose to keep it away from me. I didn't know what was going on as my heart kept pounding in my chest. Raymond had a woman, and he kept it away from me all this while. I got in the car, and many thoughts waved through my shattered heart. I felt my heart tearing into a million pieces. I allowed the tears to roll down freely. I bit my lip as I clenched my fist. The car came to a halt, and I dashed out of the car to the room. The tears in my eyes made my vision blurry, and I managed to walk to the room. I buried my face in my lap as streams of tears flowed down my cheeks uncontrollably. I woke up the next morning with swollen and red, puffy eyes from the cry I had cried myself last night. Raymond was still yet to show up. I checked my phone to see if my mate had called me, but I didn't see any of his calls. He is still with that woman; she is carrying his child, and she speaks so confidently about it. I flung my phone on the bed and used my palms to rub my eyes. A slight yawn escaped my lips. I walked downstairs to prepare breakfast, as I had slept hungry last night. As I walked downstairs, my gaze met a tall man standing with his back facing my direction. His aura was dark and tumultuous; his brown hair swayed around his shoulder-length. I stood mute, not knowing what to do or say. His aura was dark and intimidating. I looked around to be sure where I really was, but I was still inside Raymond's house. The man standing here isn't Raymond; then who is he? Just as I was about to take another step further, I slipped and almost fell to the ground, but I gained back my stamina. However, the next second, I blinked, and found that the man was suddenly nowhere to be found, as if everything just now was an illusion. I felt a tap, and I almost collapsed as fear gripped me. I turned around and saw the stranger. His dark eyes gleamed, and his hair swayed around his chiselled face. He kept approaching as I scrambled away. My arm bent backward, and gave out. I fell on my back. My body was abnormally hot, as if one had met her mate. The man swooped in and scooped me into his arms. His body was radiating heat that soaked into my skin, and his muscles clamped around me. It was a deep, smooth voice. But what he said made my body freeze for an instant. "Are you Kyra?" He coldly demanded.
