The next few days passed without another argument between Mina and me, but that did not mean everything had returned to normal.
If anything, I became more aware of her.
After our conversation that night, I had wanted to believe her promise. I had wanted to believe that she understood what I had been trying to tell her and that she really did not want Ezra to become the reason our relationship changed.
