Liora’s POV
By the time Mina and I reached the apartment, Gina was still awake.
The lights in the living room were on, and she was curled up on the couch with her laptop balanced against her legs. She looked up the moment we walked through the door, her eyes moving from Mina to me and then toward the window behind us.
“You're back.”
“Apparently,” Mina said, dropping her purse onto the chair. “And before you ask, yes, I had fun.”
Gina smiled. “Good.”
I slipped off my shoes and placed them beside the door. “Thank you for waiting up.”
“I wasn't waiting.”
I gave her a look.
She closed her laptop.
“Fine. Maybe I was waiting a little.”
Mina laughed as she walked toward the kitchen. “I need water.”
“You've been drinking all night,” Gina called after her.
“Exactly why I need water.”
