Liora's POV I couldn't stop thinking about Clara. The conversation from yesterday replayed in my mind over and over again: the bruises, the tears, the fear, and most of all, the certainty in her voice when she said she couldn't leave him. I understood fear, I understood heartbreak and I understood loving someone who hurt you, but I couldn't understand that not completely. The memory followed me into the office the next morning. I arrived early hoping work would distract me, but unfortunately, it didn't.
