Liora’s POV
“Alice.” The name left my mouth quietly, but Alice heard me over the music.
Her smile was polite as she stood beside our table, and for a moment none of us said anything. Mina looked between us, clearly trying to understand why the simple sight of this woman had changed my mood so quickly.
Alice was the first to speak. “It has been a while.”
“It has,” I answered.
Her eyes moved toward Mina. “And you are?”
“My sister, Mina.”
Mina offered her hand. “Nice to meet you.”
Alice shook it. “Alice.”
The introduction was brief, but Mina's eyes stayed on her for a moment after they released hands.
Alice turned her attention back to me. “I didn't expect to see you here tonight.”
“I didn't expect to see you either.”
A small smile touched her lips. “I come here occasionally.”
