Liora’s POV
I watched Ezra walk back toward us.
Something about his expression had changed. He looked calmer than he had a few minutes earlier, but there was still a seriousness in his eyes that made me wonder what Alice had said to him.
I glanced toward her. She remained where he had left her, standing near the quieter side of the room. Her face was composed, but I could tell she was thinking about something.
I turned back to Ezra. “Everything okay?”
He looked at me for a moment before nodding. “Everything is fine.”
I studied his face, but he didn't seem interested in explaining the conversation.
