The first night

The corridor seemed longer than Elena remembered. She had walked through it countless times carrying trays of food, baskets of clean linen, and supplies for the rooms at the end of the eastern wing. Tonight, every step felt different The guard walked ahead of her without saying a word. Elena kept her hands clasped in front of her, trying not to let him see how tightly her fingers were intertwined. She knew where they were going. Everyone in the castle knew. The Alpha's chambers. Her stomach tightened. She had spent years hearing about the women who were summoned there. She had seen some of them return the following morning with new clothes or money they had not possessed before. But Elena had never asked questions. She had never wanted to know. Now, she wished she had. The guard stopped before a pair of enormous dark doors. Elena's heart pounded. He turned toward her. "Remember the rules." She swallowed "I know them." His expression remained serious. "Then you know what is expected." Elena nodded. The guard opened the door "Go in." She stepped inside. The door closed behind her. For several seconds, Elena simply stood there. The room was enormous. A fire burned quietly in the stone fireplace, casting a warm glow across the dark furnishings. Tall windows stretched almost from the floor to the ceiling, revealing the moonlit courtyard beyond. And standing near one of those windows was the man she had spent years avoiding. Alpha Kael. He didn't turn immediately. His attention remained on the courtyard below. Elena lowered her gaze. "Alpha." Kael finally turned. His eyes settled on her. He said nothing. Elena felt as though he were studying every detail of her. She had seen him from a distance before. That was nothing compared to standing in front of him. He was intimidating. Not because he shouted. . There was something about his silence that made the room feel smaller. "Come closer." Elena obeyed. She stopped a few feet away. Kael's gaze moved over her. Then his brow furrowed slightly. "You work in the kitchens." It wasn't a question Elena nodded. "Yes, Alpha." "How long? "Three years." Kael seemed to expect that. "What is your name?" "Elena." He repeated it quietly. "Elena." Something about the way he said her name made her uncomfortable. She lowered her eyes."Yes, Alpha." Kael walked toward her. Elena's heartbeat quickened. He stopped in front of her. "You understand why you're here?" She nodded. "Yes." "Say it." Elena hesitated. "Because you requested me." His expression remained unreadable. "Good." He turned away "Come. She followed. Elena had entered the chambers expecting to be treated like every other maid who had received the Alpha's summons. But she hadn't expected him to be so observant. He noticed every hesitation. Every time she looked away. Every time she gathered enough courage to meet his eyes. And Elena, despite her nervousness, discovered something she hadn't expected either. She wasn't completely afraid of him. She was afraid of the consequences of displeasing him. There was a difference. Kael seemed to notice that too. At one point, he asked quietly, "Are you frightened?" Elena looked at him. "Yes." The answer appeared to surprise him. "Of me?" "Of what happens if I do something wrong." For the first time that evening, something almost resembling amusement touched his expression. "At least you're honest." Elena didn't answer. She had no intention of pretending to be brave when she wasn't. Yet as the night continued, something unexpected happened. Elena stopped waiting for every instruction. She became more confident. More willing to make her own choices. He told her to take off her clothes and she did. And then he told her to take off his clothes but he was only in a black pant. She took his pants off and when he was finally out of it, she went to lay on the bed as instructed. He came over her and put his manhood in her. Then he began going up and down. She layed there on the receiving end and saw that no pleasure appeared on the alpha's face. He was as lifeless on top her. Then she began to show her reluctance, twisting and turning and not being still. "What are you doing?" Elena's cheeks warmed. I would love to pleasure you well, my alpha. Kael stared at her for a long moment. How? "I will stay on top" He laughed ridiculously and saw her face that she really meant it. The confidence Then, unexpectedly, he allowed her to continue. He layed on the bed this time with her coming over him. Then she began to caress his chest. And all the while , she was wondering how such a b***r could belong to someone. After rubbing, she proceeded to holding his coxk in her hands and moving up and down. It was already leaking at the moment. She did it and the alpha was struggling not to show his pleasure before a maid but he couldn't help it. He began to moan softly. She sat up and positioned his dixk into the entry of her hole and glided it in. The position caught alpha kael off guard. Before he could protest, she began riding him and slamming herself onto him. Her buttocks was clashing unto his laps and that brought a new sense of arousal. She rode him so much, he cummed twice before they decided to rest. For a man accustomed to controlling every situation, he found himself watching rather than directing. And he hated how much he noticed. Her confidence. The way she didn't behave like a woman desperately seeking his approval. Instead, it made her impossible to ignore. Minutes later, the room had grown quiet. Elena carefully gathered her clothes. She expected the usual dismissal. She didn't expect Kael to speak "Wait." She stopped. She turned around. Kael was sitting at the edge of the bed, watching her. His eyes narrowed slightly. "What did you say your name was?" Elena stared at him. "Elena." He nodded once "Elena." She wasn't sure why he had asked again. Perhaps he had forgotten. She lowered her gaze. "May I go?" Kael looked at her for several seconds. "Yes." Elena nodded. She walked toward the door. Her hand had just touched the handle when his voice stopped her again. "Do you always work in the kitchens?" She looked over her shoulder. "Yes." "Tomorrow?" "Yes." He said nothing else. Elena left The door closed behind her. Kael remained where he was Silence settled over the room. He stared at the closed door. Then frowned. Why had he asked whether she would be in the kitchens tomorrow? He didn't care.He had never cared where any of the women worked. He didn't even remember most of their names. Yet he remembered hers. Elena. He leaned back and rubbed a hand across his jaw. It irritated him. He had requested a woman because he wanted company for the night. That was all. There was no reason to think about her after she had left. So why was he still thinking about the way she had looked at him? Why could he still smell the faint scent of herbs that clung to her skin? And why had her honesty stayed in his mind? He stood abruptly. Enough. He had more important things to think about The northern border The council. The trade agreement. His wedding. Not a kitchen maid. Never a kitchen maid. --- Elena barely slept. When she finally returned to the servants' quarters, she lay awake staring at the ceiling. She kept replaying the evening in her mind. Not because she had enjoyed it. Not because she was secretly dreaming about the Alpha She simply couldn't believe it had happened. She had entered his chambers. She had spoken to him. She had pleasured him in ways she never thought and She had survived the night. She notices him looking completely lost And now she was expected to wake up and return to the kitchens as though nothing had changed. Perhaps nothing had. That was what she told herself. The Alpha had countless women. She was one night. Nothing more. She closed her eyes. Tomorrow, she would work. She would cook. She would forget At least, that was what she intended to do. --- The following morning, Kael sat in his study. A stack of reports lay before him. His Beta stood near the desk. "The western patrol wants permission to expand their search." "Denied." "They believe the rogues are moving closer." "Then they should find them before they get closer." His Beta nodded. Kael signed another document. "Anything else?" "The kitchen wants to know whether the usual evening meal should be prepared." Kael's pen stopped. He looked up. "The usual?" "Yes." Kael leaned back. For some reason, he remembered Elena Her hands. The smell of herbs. The fact that she worked in the kitchens. He frowned. "Which department supplied the maid last night?" His Beta looked at him. "The kitchens Kael's expression didn't change. "Bring me another woman from there tonight." His Beta hesitated. "Another?" Then Kael spoke again. "Actually..." His Beta stopped. Kael stared at the papers before him. He didn't understand why the words came so easily. "Bring me Elena." The Beta slowly turned around. "The same maid?" Kael's eyes lifted. "Yes." A pause. "Understood, Alpha." The Beta left. Kael returned his attention to his reports. But the corner of his mouth tightened. He had never requested the same woman twice. Not once. He couldn't explain why he had just done it And that bothered him more than it should have. Why have I requested for her the second time?
