Luciano’s penthouse was quiet, the city lights flickering below like distant stars. Elias stood near the window, arms crossed, watching the skyline. The adrenaline from the explosion had faded, but the ache in his chest remained — not from injury, but from everything he’d lost.
Luciano entered, silent as ever, carrying two cups of coffee. He handed one to Elias without a word.
Elias took it, fingers brushing Luciano’s. The touch lingered.
“I didn’t think you’d come tonight,” Luciano said.
“I didn’t think I’d want to,” Elias replied. “But I do.”
Luciano sat on the edge of the couch, watching him. “You’ve changed.”
“So have you.”
Elias turned, walked slowly toward him. The tension between them was no longer sharp — it was molten, slow-burning. They didn’t speak. They didn’t need to.
Luciano reached out, fingers trailing along Elias’s wrist. “You’re not afraid anymore.”
“I trust you,” Elias whispered.
Luciano stood, closing the distance. “Then let me show you what that means.”

Luciano traced a finger along Elias’s collarbone. “You’re mine.”
