She ran into the dense forest without second thoughts, her heart kept thudding painfully in chest as she clung onto her purse.
“Anna!?" She screamed as she advanced into the woods, she felt dizzy and would probably fall to the rough ground any time from now.
“Carla!" It was Rhys and he held her by the hand, spinning her around to face him.
“Stop." His eyes were red, this time not because he was a supernatural creature but because it looked like he had either been crying or sleepless.
“Let.me.go!" She snarled at him as she tried to struggle from his hold but he slammed her against his chest.
“I would never. I would never." He spoke into her hair, kissing it as he did while patting her back.
