“No!” Diane jerked backward instinctively, clutching the flash drive tightly against her chest as Kara’s fingers grazed her wrist. Panic surged through her body like electricity. Kara moved too fast. “Diane, give it to me,” she said sharply, all traces of calm gone now. “What the hell is wrong with you?” Diane shouted, stumbling back toward the trees. “You said you were helping me!” “I am helping you!” “That doesn’t look like help!” Kara exhaled hard, frustration flashing across her face. “You don’t understand what you’re carrying.” “Then explain it!” Diane snapped.
