"What?" The word slipped my lips before i could catch it, louder than i intended it to be.
All the heads turned in my direction and my dad blinked at me, looking confused as Damon's jaw tightened, his eyes flashing with something unreadable and the woman (Kara) ultimately turned around and the smile on her face nearly killed me standing there.
She was stunning, the sort of stunning that didn't even feel real as her honey-blonde hair flows down her shoulders gently, piercing green eyes that sparkled under the chandelier, a perfect red dress hugging her like it was made to go with her and yet, her hand was clasped possessively around Damon's arm.
I forged a polite smile, hoping my face wasn't betraying the hurricane brewing within.
