HAILEY
My mind is screaming, what are you awaiting, Hailey? Run, this man in front of you is very dangerous. I know that, okay. I pounded my senses repeatedly, but I couldn't. As soon as Bastian touched my cheek with his knuckle, I felt my chest thump.
"You have my wolf bead inside you, so no matter how hard you try to avoid it, you will come back to beg for my touch, Hailey! Tonight you should feel your first heat, "he said
I pursed my lips; I heard many foreign terms from him. I'm not stupid; I'm pretty smart with my senses. "You always say wolf, werewolf, whatever! Tell me, how can I believe that?"
Bastian then stood up; he walked away from me. His eyes were looking at me seriously. I didn't say the wrong thing.
"I will show you! Now you have to eat something, take a shower, and make sure you are ready for it" he stepped towards the bedroom door; before he closed the door, he looked at me with that teasing face again.
"Oh just to remind you, don't run away or you'll end up like that night again!" he said.
His tone was light, but I knew it was a threat I should have considered. I didn't reply with any reaction; Bastian just closed the door and left me, who was still confused.
"Gosh, why does it feel like I was kidnapped?" I hissed. My fingers grabbed my hair "I don't believe it, but I have to believe, to hell what creature that night? It's scary, it's terrible, I must have messed this whole thing up!" I said
I leaned on the edge of the bed, burying my face in my knees. Bastian asked me to shower, even though I didn't have a change of clothes. While I was thinking, the door to my room opened again. I gasped, staring at the door with my frightened face.
"Hey, sorry! I brought a change of clothes for you!" Alex put the tote bag by the door
I don't know this guy. I only saw him often beside Bastian, and I heard they were great friends.
"Thanks. Can I go home? I mean, my house will be much more comfortable for me."
"Oh Sorry girl, I didn't decide that! I hope you hold on a little longer!"
"No, I need to get out of here and…."
"I know! That's why I said, just try to hold on a little longer, okay!" He smiled at me and closed the door again.
I swore, hissing in annoyance. He didn't help me at all, oh of course. He's a good friend of the man holding me back now, but wait a minute. I can't fully say Bastian held me down; he also saved my life last night.
So what? Is this someone returning the favor?
I took out the clothes they chose for me, an oversized black shirt and hot pants. I knit my eyebrows? Who chose this style for me? I unpacked the tote bag again and found a bra suit with lacy red panties.
"Freaking lord! How do they know my size?" I dropped the tote bag and ran to bed. I covered my whole body with the blanket, and I screamed inside my blanket.
They didn't come into the room; it seemed they deliberately left me alone. I glanced out the window, and night had fallen. I wouldn't say I enjoy looking at the night sky, no. I feel lonely because of it.
"Are you ready?" Bastian's baritone voice surprised me. He did not appear from the door but from the room's balcony window.
"Oh god, why are you going there?"
Bastian shrugged his shoulders. "it's up to me; this is my house!" he said haughtily.
I rotate my eyeballs lazily. "I have to go home now!"
Suddenly Bastian grabbed my hand; he gripped my wrist so tightly that I wouldn't run. He took me out of the house into the backyard.
"Bastian?" I called his name, but he didn't react. He just kept walking until we were in a place with various trees. The night wind blew, and it felt strangely cool rather than cold.
Bastian released his grip; he stood in front of me. The light is too minimal here, I only see a black shadow on his face, but I can still see it even though it's unclear.
"What are we doing here?" I hoarsely said. I feel the air around me feel foreign. Like the wind that blows towards me whisper tickling my earlobes.
"I'm going shifter now!" he said
"What do you mean?"
"I will change into my wolf's form! Be ready, don't scream in fear, and don't run away! My Wolf also really wants to meet you in person."
I swallowed my saliva hard; I thought he was kidding. I want to laugh, but it's not a funny line. I always feel him pressing down on me, intimidating a part of me. Bastian took four steps back.
"Bastian? It's not funny!" I said.
It's only a matter of seconds; I don't know how it happened. Like a flash that flashes, but my eyes don't take away from it. I could hear bones shifting, then suddenly, a wolf in almond fur landed on the ground.
"Oh, God!" I gasped, my legs lost their strength, and I fell to my knees. The Wolf approached me; I know he is Bastian but is he a wolf? I saw his body shed hair; it was fast, so what?
I was helpless; I didn't dare to leave that place. Why does the wolf shine so well under the night sky? He was getting closer, his leg muscles, his wide muzzle, and his eyes.
The Wolf had intense almond eyes. "B-Bastian?" I'm hoarse
My distance from the Wolf was very narrow; my breath was hunting. He is like a beast that will eat me now. No, I can't endure this. I have to run away; this is a chance for me to run.
I have a bond with this Wolf, but no. I can't take it anymore; my whole body is getting goosebumps. I gathered my strength to get up, and I ran. I ran as fast as I could. I don't want to be here; this place is hell for me.
I have to run before the Wolf eats me.
